Name of Participant(s): Tempest Blackfire, Solo Lamenta Number of Participants: 3 to 6 (Solo, Tempest and the curator plus 3 others) Status: Open Description of Job: The mission is simple. Information has emerged that on Rusukaina there are some ancient ruins which contain some very rare artifacts. These ruins are said to be the remains of the country that once existed on this island. However, the island is incredibly dangerous and only the strongest are said to be able to survive there. A museum curator, the discoverer of the ruins in some old records, has sent a request to the strongest individuals they could find: yonkou, admirals, shichibukai and famous bounty hunters. How this man was able to contact them is unknown, but it seems he has many connections.
The ruins are said to be in the middle of the island and those seeking them must fight their way through the harsh environment that changes weekly and the dangerous creatures. However, even once the ruins have been reached it is no easy task to secure the treasure. The ruins, according to the few records the curator has found, contain complex booby traps and are guarded by a powerful force. On top of that the party must then manage to get the treasure safely back to the ship.
There are ten items the curator desires that he believes are in the ruins though finding all ten will be difficult, especially the final two artifacts: The mask of the sun and the mask of the moon. Price: If mask of the sun is found: 200 beli each If mask of the moon is found: 200 beli each If both masks are found: 500 beli each
Remaining eight artifacts: 100 beli each.
(maxmimum reward possible is 1000 beli each)
--------- The small boat they were on rocked back and forth as it sailed towards the island. The boat was small, but sturdy. There were few safe places on the island so it would dock and then leave waiting out at sea for them to signal somehow.
"This should be interesting." Tempest said half to himself and half to the curator and the other participant. A truly dangerous island full of beasts, traps and other things. All to get some artifacts and exchange them for money. Money which Tempest had been sent to get in order to fund the revolution a bit. 1000 Beli wasn't a huge amount, but it could be useful.
As the boat docked on the island Tempest leapt off onto the sand and instantly drew his swords preparing to defend himself incase a beast attacked.

And so Nanashi decided to send his gunslinger, Solo Lamenta, along with some strange swordsman and a curator to gather masks in exchange for beli. Why he chose the gunslinger over someone else was beyond Solo. Not that he cared much to begin with. If it meant aid in bringing the corrupt World Government down; Solo was happy to oblige in assisting.
Countless thoughts raced through the cyborg’s mind as the waves crashed against the side of the small boat he, the swordsman, and the curator shared. They were headed to Rusukaina, an island in the calm belt that was known for its beasts. The only thing that struck Solo as strange was the idea that someone just kind of left these masks on the island. He was sure that the older civilization left them when the civilization itself was wiped out. Though how anything would survive on that island was beyond him.
The swordsman spoke for a second. Nothing really important. Simply stating that the mission would prove to be an interesting one. The Gunslinger would have to agree, but didn’t feel like adding to the conversation. It’d be dreadful if some beast heard them arrive because they decided to chat about the weather. The idea of being found prematurely would further prove probable as the boat was close enough to short. Close enough, in fact, that the swordsman jumped out and drew his weapons. A Florentine fighter, it seemed.
Solo followed suit and jumped from the boat the sand, drawing his gunblade in the process. The golden haired male’s cloak blew in the rather strong breeze that resonated from around the island. Growls and other assorted primal noises could be heard from the beach, meaning they were either extremely close or extremely loud. Perhaps the swordsman was right. This might prove to be quite interesting. Curator, what signs should we be looking for? Anything to give us indication of the whereabouts of the masks. Solo asked, his gun raised and scanning the area. His voice, as usual, free from any emotion.

"Just head for the centre sirs and try to find the central point between the three mountains. You should find some signs of the ruins there. The masks, and other artifacts should be inside." he said and nodded to them both. "Good luck with your search. If you are not back within one week or have not let me know somehow that you are still alive...I will leave."
Tempest nodded there wasn't much else he could do. It didn't seem they were being ambushed so he sheathed one of his swords and held the other loosely at his side. He had some powerful one bladed techniques, but his strongest were two bladed. He wasn't stupid, he just wasn't smart. He'd pissed off a yonkou before, but with good reason. So now he was on the island itself he went silent and merely indicated with hand gestures for the two to proceed. The direction was towards the closest of the three mountains, their only real landmark.
Finding the ruins wasn't what he was worried about it was finding their way back in time. If they didn't they'd be stranded and have to try to make their way across the waters towards the other islands, all very dangerous. If he could get a direct line one one of them he could use his devil fruit to get there, but that would mean abandoning his temporary ally and that didn't sit with him too well.

Just head for the center. In between the mountains should be some signs that they were in the correct place. Those were the only directions the curator had. No words of warning. Not that his directions weren’t useful, more like they were vague. What’s worse was that he only gave them one week to find his masks and return to the beach before he simply left them. Being left didn’t scare Solo, as he knew Undine or Nanashi would come for him (though he hoped not the latter). Being left only mildly irritated him, not enough to show or anything. With the words of wisdom gone, it seemed that the Curator was quick to shove off and return to the safety of his ship, leaving Tempest and Solo to their own devices.
Solo quizzically observed the swordsman sheathing one of his blades, yet keeping the other out. If one was best as a Florentine fighter, one should probably stick to that to avoid bringing the rest of the party down. Or that’s at least what Solo thought. Perhaps the swordsman was just as good with a single sword. At the time, Solo couldn’t have known, as they just met.
With one blade sheathed, the swordsman made a hand signal to inform Solo that they were about to move in the direction of their only real landmark, a mountain in the distance. Solo nodded and began to walk in the general direction of the mountain, his cloak covering him his body and keeping his gunblade mostly hidden. He didn’t have to worry about not being able to draw it in time, which was nice. Quick draw was something he was good at.

Tempest began to walk keeping his eyes open. Something would likely try to attack them, but what would it be? There journey was relatively silent for about an hour. No disturbances at all though they seemed closer to the mountain. It was at that point though that a large insectoid beast. It was absolutely massive. So large that they could easily stand between its eyes without taking up much space. It had flown down from above bellowing through its giant elephant like trunk. This would be truly interesting. How could they possibly win against something so large? Well the swordsman had an idea. "Mugenken Nikouryuu: Yarikouu." he stated raising a hand above his head. As he did so thirty spears of light were formed that all launched themselves at the beast. The beast attempted to bat them away with its large truck but they all exploded on contact. Ten hit the trunk at once knocking it out of the way and allowing the other twenty to hit it full on in the face. This caused the giant beast to bellow in agony. It face was bloodied and heavily burnt, but it was somehow still fighting. Tempest grinned. This was gonna be fun.
