RACES. Here are the Races accepted on DoB. If you don't see it on the list, don't fret, just ask staff. But don't push it, either. You can also submit custom races for staff to review. The race needs to have fairly detailed information on appearance and abilities to even be considered. If staff like the idea and agree it can be regulated and not over powered it'll be added to the list.
And remember, individuals almost always vary from the race generalizations. So don't make a carbon copy of what is listed, but also don't make the character too different or it won't fit into the race.
RESTRICTION RANKINGS. - Unrestricted :: Anyone can make a character of this race at any time. There will never be a ban on these races because they're just that common.
- Limited :: If there are too many of this race as compared to other races there will be a temporary ban on these races.
- Creator Permission :: This means you must get written (typed) permission from the creator of the race to be able to make one. Staff will check with the creator to make sure no one tries to get a race they're not allowed to have. This ranking only applies to the custom races staff has approved.
- Staff Permission :: This means you must get written (typed) permission from one of the site admins to be able to make a character of this race. This applies to certain races that need to fit a specific personality or ones that have special traits that define it.

HUMANS. - Scientific Name: Homo Sapiens
- Average Height Range: 3-7 feet tall
- Average Weight Range: 80-250 lbs. (Sex-dependant)
- Average Life Expectancy: 80-100 years
- Native To: All over
- Special Abilities: Pretty adaptable, but fairly average in all regards
- Physical Traits: Hair and eye color can vary wildly, from very plain to very vibrant and colorful. Skin tone can also vary from light to dark
- Common Enemies: Just about anyone they piss off. Also, humans aren't on good terms with Fishmen and Merfolk.
- History: WIP
- Restrictions: Unrestricted
- OOC Rules: Humans can be just about anything, and get an extra free ability slot, but are forbidden from having any Racial abilities or Superhuman traits.

- OOC Rules: Superhumans are defined as any mixmatch of races that has at least 1/8 human genetics, and as such, can have just about any physical features and various racial abilities.

LONGARM TRIBE. - Scientific Name: Homo Brachium
- Average Height Range: 5-10 feet tall
- Average Weight Range: 100-300 lbs
- Average Life Expectancy: 70-95 years.
- Native To: Kenzan Island
- Special Abilities: Most Longarms have relatively high skill in martial arts, particularly unarmed styles, and some skill with instruments.
- Physical Traits: Every single Longarm Tribemember has arms that are incredibly long, always containing two elbows spaced evenly. There are incredibly rare cases in which a Longarm is born with shorter arms, only a bit longer than a human's, but retaining the double-elbows. Hair and eyes vary, but hair is often dark in color.
- Common Enemies: Longleg Tribe, Slave traders.

- OOC Rules: Longarms by default have two elbows, this does not take up a Racial slot.

LONGLEG TRIBE. - Scientific Name: Homo Crura
- Average Height Range: 9-12 feet tall
- Average Weight Range: 70-150 lbs.
- Average Life Expectancy: 80-90 years
- Native To: Kenzan Island
- Special Abilities: Longleg tribemembers are quite acrobatic and agile, able to run, sprint, jump, and flip at a level well above even Olympian athletes. As well, many are well-versed in the finer arts, such as painting, literature, poetry, and for combat, fencing.
- Physical Traits: Longleg tribemembers, fitting the name, have incredibly long legs, often twice the length of their torso,
- Common Enemies: Longarm tribemembers, Slave hunters

- Restrictions: Limited
- OOC Rules: Adult Longleg tribemembers can be no less than 8'6" tall, but all Longlegs are allowed to be multilingual beyond the normal limits, and a very rare few can naturally read Poneglyphs (This ability requires staff approval before even being applied for)

- Special Abilities: Extremely variable, based on the mechanical parts implemented. Could be anything from a gatling gun arm to a hydraulic [REDACTED]
- Physical Traits: Depends on the genetic race, with the addition of the mechanical parts
- Common Enemies: Varies
- History: WIP
- Restrictions: Dependent on the race before becoming a Cyborg
- OOC Rules: Cyborgs can genetically be of any race, and can have the appropriate racial bonuses, including Superhuman and Giant. All cyborg enhancements must be listed as a Racial Ability.

GIANTS. - Scientific Name: Homo Gigans
- Average Height Range: 55-65 feet (Male), 45-50 feet (Female), 240 feet (Extreme "Oars-sized" Giants)
- Average Weight Range: Approx. 1 ton (Male), approx. 1/2 ton (Female), 5 tons (Oars-sized)
- Native To: Various islands, with large tribes in Elbaf.
- Special Abilities: Natively superhumanly strong, able to cross large distances quickly due to leg length
- Physical Traits: Incredibly large, males tend to be rotund and bulky, females look much like human females, but are almost invariably busty and generally shapely.
- Common Enemies: Other giants, slave traders, dwarves
- History: WIP
- Restrictions: Limited
- OOC Rules: Giants can have various Racial Abilities, and have four total slots shared between Abilities and Racial Abilities. They have more strength than Superhumans, but can not get Superhuman speeds at all.

SEAFOLK (FISHMEN, MERFOLK). - Scientific Name: Homo Piscis
- Average Height Range: Varies based on species of fish, but generally within 4-8 feet
- Average Weight Range: Varies based on species of fish, but generally within 65-300 lbs.
- Average Life Expectancy: 150 years
- Native To: Fishman Island, though some can be found in various areas of the seas, and rarely even intermingled with humans.
- Special Abilities: Able to breath underwater, fishmen have superhuman strength, merfolk have superhuman speed in water.
- Physical Traits: Varies depending on the species of fish, but merfolk appear almost entirely human from the waist up, occasionally with the exception of their mouth, whereas fishmen are humanoid with features of the fish throughout the entire body.
- Common Enemies: Humans, especially slavers.
- History:

- OOC Rules: Both can breathe underwater without using a racial slot, fishmen get super strength without a racial slot, merfolk get super speed without a racial slot.

SKY FOLK (SKYPEIANS, SHANDIANS, AND BIRKANS). - Scientific Name: Homo Divum
- Average Height Range: 4-6 feet (Skypeian), 5-8 feet (Shandian), 4.5-7 feet (Birkan)
- Average Weight Range: 60-120 lbs. (Skypeian), 85-200 lbs. (Shandian), 70-150 lbs. (Birkans)
- Average Life Expectancy: 150 years (All)
- Native To: The White Sea
- Special Abilities: All Sky Folk have small wings on their back, which they can grow to full size at will. These wings enable flight, but require a large amount of space to function properly.
- Physical Traits: As above, all Sky Folk have the wings. As well, Skypeians' hair raises up into the bulbs, somewhat like the shape of a giraffe's horns, atop their head. Shandians have a much more tanned skin tone than other Sky Folk. Finally, Birkans oft have dreadlocks, though not always, and their hair has feathers mixed in naturally.

DWARVES. - Scientific Name: Homo Fodiendi
- Average Height Range: 2-4 feet.
- Average Weight Range: 100-180 lbs.
- Average Life Expectancy: 200 years
- Native To: Various mountains, though very rarely inhabiting the same islands as Giants, with the exception of one stubborn tribe in Elbaf.
- Special Abilities: Due to their hardiness, Dwarves are very durable, being able to unflinchingly take hits that would floor a human. As well, they're incredibly skilled at building things, mostly technological devices or forging tools and weapons.
- Physical Traits: Hardy, husky, and short. Dwarves are well suited to their mountain homes, built to navigate tunnels and dig holes. Surprisingly, the females have almost no body hair, instead developing a plump build and strong muscle for warmth and strength, whilst the men are hairy as bears. As well, Dwarves have very thick skin, which is very resilient to cuts and piercing. As such, it's very rare for any Dwarves to have piercings of any kind.
- Common Enemies: Giants, Goats (Don't ask)

- OOC Rules: Dwarves are short-legged and small, so superhuman speed and strength aren't available to them. However, they have inherent superhuman endurance without need of a racial skill.

KUJA. - Scientific Name: Homo Amazonia
- Average Height Range: Varies wildly, some an average of 5 feet, some an unusually large 15 feet, some an unusually small 3 feet
- Average Weight Range: Anywhere from 50 lbs. to 225 lbs.
- Average Life Expectancy: 100-120 years
- Native To: Amazon Lily, though some rare individuals branch out to other places
- Special Abilities: The Kuja tribeswomen are infamous for their perfect control of Haki, integrating it with nearly every attack. In addition, they have the ability to converse non-verbally with snakes, of which they choose one to be a lifelong partner. In addition, Kuja who deign to breed with men will, in near all cases, birth only females, though this is the effect of the land of Amazon Lily, and most Kuja who give birth at sea will birth males, oft considered cursed and called Half-Kuja.
- Physical Traits: All women of the Kuja tribe are, without exception, very voluptuously built, being no less than a D-Cup at the absolute minimum, and an E-Cup being the most common. In addition, the vast majority are unbelievably attractive, with very few exceptions. Half-Kuja men are also fairly attractive, though not nearly as much as the full-blooded Kuja, and are oft known to be rather well endowed themselves.

GREENSKINS. - Scientific Name: Orsinius Dakadaka
- Average Height Range: Dependent on strain; Gublins are around 1-2 feet, Noggers are 4-5 feet, Bonkers are 5-6 feet, and Gronkers are 8-15 feet.
- Average Weight Range: Dependent on strain; Gublins are about 30 lbs., Noggers are around 80 lbs., Bonkers are about 130 lbs., and Gronkers are no less than 200 lbs. and can be up to 1000 lbs at maximum.
- Average Life Expectancy: Five years, due to their warmongering nature, though theoretically up to 300
- Native To: Everywhere and nowhere. Greenskins can pop up literally anywhere, but they prefer to inhabit barren wastelands, because they're easier to fight in.
- Special Abilities: Greenskins multiply like made, as, when one dies, two more pop up in its place three days later, and quickly grow by beating the everloving hell out of any other available Greenskins. In addition, the four tiers of Greenskin have their own unique abilities; Gublins explode after ten seconds when lit ablaze, Noggers can eat nearly anything and belch it back out as a powerful projectile, Bonkers can wield weapons five times their size and/or weight, and Gronkers can command any lower-tiered Greenskin not currently controlled by another Gronker, and usurp followers by punching them in the head or killing the other Gronker.
- Physical Traits: Greenskins, true to the name, are green humanoids of various sizes, with gnarled faces, grubby, crooked teeth, matted orange hair, and either pointy or knobby noses, depending on if they're a Gublin or not.

- OOC Rules: Greenskins are not intelligent, but have an incredible aptitude for Haki, using it innately yet having no ability to actually control it. As such, all Greenskins have automatic Busoshoku and Kenbunshoku Haki. In addition, all Greenskin warriors have names based on foods, with the boss Gronkers getting simple meat dishes, the low-ranking Noggers getting fancy meals, and the middle-ground Bonkers getting vegetables. Gublins, being equated to slaves and/or pests, have no names, simply being called out as "GUBLIN". Finally, all Greenskins speak with a broken version of a Cockney accent, sounding like Cockney mixed with a touch of caveman speak.

BEAST FOLK. - Scientific Name: Homo Bestia
- Average Height Range: Anywhere from 2 feet to 10 feet, depending on the animal.
- Average Weight Range: Anywhere from 50 lbs. to 500 lbs., depending on the animal.
- Average Life Expectancy: 100-300 years, and varies wildly within this range
- Native To: Anywhere with a deep, thick forest, though some brave to mingle with the other races.
- Special Abilities: Wildly variable, as they depend on the animal nature of the individual, though a great many have sharp claws and fangs to defend themselves. In addition, all Beast Folk have very strong senses, many times those of normal Humans.
- Physical Traits: Beast Folk looks much like humans, but with varying levels of animal traits, from merely having the extremities of the creature (Claws, hooves, fangs, horns, tails, antlers, wings) to looking like a bipedal version of the animal. Herbivore-based Beast Folk are significantly less common, but not altogether rare. All Beast Folk are derived from mammals and birds.
- Common Enemies: Hunters, slavers, other Beast Folk tribes
- History:
- Restrictions: Limited
- OOC Rules: Beast Folk can not, under any conditions, have the powers of a Zoan Devil Fruit. If one is eaten, it simply transfers to another nearby fruit, as if the user had died. Paramecia and Logia type Devil Fruits are fine. In addition, all bird-based Beast Folk are required to have wings, which are full-sized at all times.

SHADETAILS. - Scientific Name: Umbre Vulpes
- Average Height Range: 4-7 feet
- Average Weight Range: 70-180 lbs (sex dependent)
- Average Life Expectancy: 100-120 years
- Native To: A small, semi-volcanic island of unknown coordinates.
- Special Abilities:
- Illusions - Not very large range to start, and the stronger the Shadetail the more realistic the illusions seem.
- Shapeshifting - Basic ability to begin with; hair color changes, shifting into their Shadetail form. Eye color and Shadetail mane color cannot be changed.
- "Night Daze" - Powerful Shadetails have access to a special power that allows them to use the darkness of night as an energy source. This energy then can be released as powerful blasts or even merely small bursts.
- Physical Traits: A lithe, slender vulpine-like race, with a rather mischievous appearance. The colored markings on their faces give them the mischievous look. Unlike normal vulpine, they lack tails, walk primarily through bipedal locomotion, and their base color always ranges from dark gray to black, some having bits of brown hues showing through. The reason for their name comes from the way their manes hang on their backs, looking similar to tails often times. The color of these manes varies. The most common colors are reds and oranges, with yellow being fairly common as well. After that is greens and purples, with blues and whites being the rarest colors of all. There are rumors of solid black Shadetails being an even rarer occurrence than white.
- Common Enemies: Night Hunters
- History: Long ago, the Night Hunters believed they wiped the Shadetails out, but in reality they only drove them into hiding. They've found this out as more Shadetails have shown up in recent years; though they're few and far between, usually being a slave to a rich lord.

LISCHLING. - Scientific Name:
- Average Height Range: 4’2” - 6’6”
- Average Weight Range: 125/140 – 190/215 pounds
- Average Life Expectancy: 125 - 150
- Native To: Grand Line
- Special Abilities:
- The frontal legs of all Lischlings are sharp enough to be used as stabbing implements; these legs are always part of your body, whether in spider or human form. The chitin of these legs is as hard as steel and can go toe-to-toe with normal blades. They can stretch up to an additional two feet, but may not be initially longer than eight feet in length. This takes up one of your three weapon slots.
- Illusions: Lischlings possess the innate ability to weave illusions that affect the senses of others. Through this, all Lischlings may create the illusion that they are a normal sized spider, however this is not a transformation, and being touched will dispel the illusion. Illusions created that are not the aforementioned spider illusion require its own ability.
- Webbing: You may produce an amount of webbing not to exceed the size of a poacher’s hunting net (large enough to capture a human inside), though you may create any amount smaller. The webbing can be light as silk, or if at maximum, as heavy as a weighted net.
- Shape-shifting: Lischlings possess the innate ability to transform into their spider forms, (which must be described in Abnormalities) which are the same size they are as a human and does not alter their weight. This effectively allows the Lischling to run at double their normal speed and jump to a distance of fifteen feet and a height of four feet, however, you’re like a spider, you’re susceptible to being squashed by someone heavy enough stepping on your back. This ability can be learned In Character if you do not start with it and the Lischling MUST be older than 14, at which point they are considered a ‘mature’ adult.
- Water Walking: This is a trait possessed by a very rare breed of Lischling, and very few exist. A master of this ability could walk across the surface of the ocean with ease, while a young learning Lischling would do well to stand upon the surface of a still pond without a breeze blowing. This ability must be mastered in character, and you start off barely being able to walk across a puddle without sinking into it. When walking, your spider legs must also be touching the surface of the water.
- Physical Traits: Lischlings look like most other humans; they have a few features that set them apart from everyone else. First and most obviously are the two or sometimes four spider legs sprouting from either the middle of their back or from the back of their neck. Secondly, they all sport a set of eight eye markings on their body, either in their hair or somewhere on them, these often resemble a tattoo on their body or a strange dye pattern on their hair. And lastly, members of the royal family possess blood red eyes while all others possess eyes of either dark or bright gold, deep green, icy blue, or muddy brown. Special notes: females undergo a ‘breeding season’ during the winter months, in which time they will normally pursue a mate, however this is not a blind lust as with some species, but an increased interest in finding a partner.
- Common Enemies: None
- History: The Lischlings are a Hierarchical race of Spider-like humanoids that live on an Isle located somewhere in the reaches of the Grand Line. Though isolationists at the heart of their society, very seldom does a Lischling get born whom wishes to travel, though each that does has a personal goal to fulfill in doing so. The members of the Royal Family live in the lap of luxury, but only during the calm times within the Family. During the age-old contest of Volkermor, in which the members of the Royal bloodline fight amongst themselves to the death for the throne, all but one son or daughter remains until the King and Queen die. When the new Heir ascends to the throne, he or she picks a mate from the common folk to continue the bloodline, and honor known as the Aufsteig. The common folk lead lives of rather normal people of various culture, though in the high-rising cities and towns of the Lischling Kingdom. Houses are built into trees, with rope ladders acting as the walkways for people to travel to and fro.
- Restrictions: Creator Permission [Weegee]
- OOC Rules: If you have Wall/Ceiling Climbing you cannot take Water Walking and Vice Versa. If you do not start off with the Shape-Shifting ability, you can gain it In Character, via a trial (upon which it become purchasable). Trail will be NPC’d by the Race’s Creator, though each trial will be similar, though customized to each character. Trials are done Solo.
