BACKGROUND Kahana is one of a rare species of beings known as Insectoids. These can be considered similar to merfolk in a way. Fishmen are part fish, insectoids are part insect. Both appear human mostly, but some things show they are not. Many different types of insects exist. Kahana is a cicada insectoid. This meant she was particularly noisy. Insectoids rarely stayed at home past the age of 25(The coming of age for them), but she left at the age of 20 as she saw the world as being far too chaotic for her liking. Insects generally had perfect order and so did insectoids. Laws were important. When she left she decided she was going to find a way to stop the chaotic nature of the world and make it more orderly and law abiding. The group that seemed most likely to allow her to do this was the marines. As an insectoid she appeared mostly human except for her eyes and the markings on her back which allowed her to form wings. However, this was not seen as a disadvantage to the crew she was placed upon simply because her speed was superhuman. She quickly rose through the ranks mostly because she could shout louder than most of them and learnt things very quickly. Eventually at the age of 40 she became a marine admiral, one of the highest ranking people in the world with much power. She could even authorize a buster call, but that too her seemed too evil. Yet it seemed almost good compared to something she found out. How she had missed it was beyond her, but it seemed that many marines were corrupt and abused their power. That was not right. Just because they had the power did not mean they could abuse it. She set out on a personal vendetta to turn the marines and eventually the world government into what she envisioned, an orderly, law abiding group who enforced the laws and made sure justice and goodness thrived. She was aiming to one day become the commander-in-chief. It would take time, but she was sure she could manage it. The blade is silver in colour and the shaft is black. At the base is a heavy weight that is coloured yellow. Her secondary weapon is a custom-made pistol crossbow Her third weapon are blades that extend from the toe and back of her boot. Non-weapons ABILITIES Kenbunshoku Haki: As an admiral she is capable of using the ability known as haki and in her case she gained the ability of kenbunshoku haki probably because it suited her style. e can use this Haki to predict an opponent's moves shortly before they make them, thereby making the attack that much easier to evade. This prediction appears to the user as an image or brief "premonition" of what the opponent will do in the user's mind's eye, and the damage the user will take if the attack actually "hits". It appears that the more killing intent the enemy has, the easier they are to predict. This can also be used to sense the emotion and nature of others. RACIAL FEATURES Insect Wings: Insectoids all possess a tatoo on their back which when focused upon turns into actual wings that allow for prolonged flight. Like real insects they find it difficult to fly in the rain. Superhuman speed: She is superhumanly fast allowing her to move over short distances at high speed. She can move 10' in the blink of an eye (even in the air) and can chain these 'flash steps' together, but tires after a few minutes of doing so. Not only does this allow for high speed movement over distances but it allows her to move her body at high speeds allowing her to do things like catch an arrow out of the air with relative ease. Superhuman leg strength: Whilst her upper body is considered normal in terms of strength her legs are not. They are very powerful. An average human's leg is thrice the strength of their arm. In her case it is more like eight times. Bug bomb: She is able to create balls of a strange energy and throw them. These explode on contact with a force similar to a stick of TNT. She can use five of these before requiring a two post cooldown.
