He is a carpenter by trade, and is currently unaffiliated with any specific groups, though if you were to classify him as anything it would be a pirate. He's not very friendly, and doesn't seek out company, though he is passively looking for a possible crew to join.

I can kind of imagine Lao Hu and Ke'tar having a sort of tense relationship, at least at first. Lao Hu is generally nice enough, but he acts rather rudely, so the two might not exactly get along very well at first. Still, Lao's the kind of guy who knows when to give people space, particularly considering his own problems, so maybe they could become allies.

Maybe Ke'tar could even be Lao Hu's Shipwright? But that's ultimately up to you. In any case, I don't see them as being enemies.

Aye aye. Ke'tar isn't the biggest fan of rudenes, but it is completely possible that the two of them could spend sometime together, and gain a mutual respect. If they do reach that point, I don't see why Lao Hu couldn't convince him to become his shipwright.
