FAUST EISENRITTER
49 || MALE || CYBORG || MARINE IDENTIFICATIONFull Name: Faust Eisenritter.
Aliases: Admiral Kokuro [Black Wolf].
Sexuality: Heterosexual.
Date of Birth: April 4th.
Crew: N/A.
Alignment: Lawful Good.
Zodiac Sign: Aries.
PERSONALITYPOSITIVE TRAITS:
- Faust is a calm man, rarely raising his voice or allowing himself to get overemotional. His reactions tend to be low-key, even under intense stress.
- Having had a lot of experience in the field, he’s also picked up a remarkable cunning and knack for adapting as the situation changes.
- Faust is also very patient, rarely getting angry or frustrated with people. He doesn’t mind being left to wait and tries to take things at his own pace.
- He is also friendly to people as a rule. He doesn’t try to alienate people and always makes the effort to include someone. He orders his men around when the situation requires, but he often treats them like they were his children.
- Above all, Faust is also loyal to the Marines and the cause of Justice. He’s grown attached to the young men and women under his command and wants to protect both them and the innocent civilians he fights for.
NEGATIVE TRAITS:
- When in combat, however, Faust is ruthless. He isn’t the type who believes the end justifies the means, but he also isn’t the kind to show mercy to pirates as he has learned the hard way what pirates will do when one’s back is turned.
- He is also remarkably stubborn, often pushing himself in his work far harder than he really should. Quite often his men have found him passed out after spending hours, if not days at a time pushing himself to accomplish his tasks. He also tends to butt heads a lot with those he disagrees with.
- Faust, despite his status as an Admiral, does feel a certain insecurity that often surfaces when, after a tough battle, he notices that some of the people under his command have died. He always feels regretful when he finds one of his subordinates has been killed and often chastises himself for not being a better leader. In addition, he is often insecure about his own love life. Now that he has nearly reached his fifties, he knows he isn’t the young man he once was and worries if he may have missed his chance.
- Because of Faust’s outstanding loyalty, he is also incredibly reckless, often throwing himself into danger for the sake of his comrades. He’s the kind of leader who would take a bullet for his subordinates, or indeed an entire firing squad if at all possible. He’s also more than willing to take a risk if it has a good payoff in a fight, even if it means getting injured in the process.
- In addition, Faust is also very dishonest about himself. He tries to keep his problems to himself, feeling like he shouldn’t be a bother to people as an Admiral, which results in him often lying to his crew and to his friends about how he feels so that they don’t worry over him.
LIKES:
- Smoked beer - Because any excuse to drink is a good one.
- Card Games - Because what else do you play at sea?
- Winning - Almost goes without saying.
- Reading - When boredom approaches at sea, he's well-prepared.
- Singing - He's actually got a lovely singing voice. But especially when drunk.
DISLIKES:
- Fighting - He's not violent by nature.
- Losing - Again, almost goes without saying.
- Pirates - After his experiences in childhood, he has good reason to dislike any and all Pirates.
- Absolute Justice - He does agree that Justice must be decisive and swift, but refuses to believe that the end justifies the means used. If you kill a civilian for the sake of killing a pirate, you're no better than what you fight.
- Paperwork - He's not fond of desk work. He'd rather be drinking.
APPEARANCE
Height: 6 feet 4 inches.
Weight: 280 pounds.
Hair Color: Black.
Eye Color: Green.
Attire: Faust's outfit is relatively simple, forgoing the dress suits that other high-ranking Marines wear in favor of baggy, black trousers tucked into a pair trench boots with a leather belt wrapped around his waist. Over his upper body he wears a black tangzhuang with green lining that is worn open at the front, exposing his torso. Finally, draped across his shoulders is his Marine's Justice Coat, worn like a cape.
Abnormalities: He possesses an entirely mechanical right arm made from a black metal. It is roughly the same size as his normal arm, but is designed so that he can equip other weapons onto it. BACKGROUNDBorn in Water 7 in the Grand Line. His father was a doctor. His mother was a former Marine. His parents were relatively wealthy, meaning money was rarely a problem. One day, on his way home after playing with the other kids, a seven year old Faust came across a man who had washed up on Scrap Island. Worried for the man, he rushed down to him and resuscitated him. Later that day after returning home, when night had fallen, Pirates began to raid the city.
In the middle of the night they plundered money and food. Faust was woken by the pirates. As he rushed downstairs, he caught sight of the man he resuscitated earlier stabbing his father. His mother quickly took down the Pirate and shortly after the Marines rounded up the Pirate crew. However, it was too late for his father, who bled to death before he could receive medical attention.
Nine years later at the age of sixteen, Faust went on to enlist in the Marines. After completing his training he was placed on a Marine ship that patrolled the waters of Drum Kingdom. Faust served in the Marines for four years, forging frienships with his fellow Marines. He stood out as an eager and hardworking young man, honing his skills and eventually earning him the Warrant Officer Rank for his work ethic.
Three years later at age twenty three, Faust took part in a large battle in Drum Kingdom. After Pirates snuck into the Kingdom on a merchant vessel, the Marines and Drum Kingdom’s own forces worked together to try and stop the surprise attack. During the battle Faust protected injured civillians and Marines and managed to take down the First Mate single-handedly. His work during the battle earned him the Lieutenant Rank.
After reaching Lieutenant Rank, he began to undergo far more rigorous training, learning under his Captain at the time. At the same time, he began to accompany the Captain on missions, directly serving under him. After spending four years working hard to defend Drum Kingdom’s waters, he was promoted to the Captain Rank at age twenty seven.
Once he was made a Captain, Faust was reassigned to G-1, serving within the Marine’s Headquarters. Although he trained rigorously, his work was more administrative as he worked with a team of people to decide bounties for criminals. However, a year later he met with a man by the name of Admiral Alexander Fitzroy. The two frequently spoke, and eventually the Admiral had Faust reassigned to his unit, feeling he would do better on the front lines.
At the age of twenty eight, Faust was beginning to learn to tap into a power known as Haki. During battles he found himself beginning to instinctively use Busoshoku Haki, although in a shaky and inconsistent manner. Seeing his talent, the Admiral began to take the time to train him in its use. However, during a brief stop by the Shabondy Archipelago, the Marines were attacked while the Admiral and Vice-Admiral were meeting with World Nobles. The Rear-Admiral was killed. Only the timely intervention of the Vice-Admiral and Admiral managed to put down the Pirate attack. However, the damage had already been done.
After narrowly avoiding death, Faust spent his time in the hospital mourning the loss of men and lives in the battle, rediscovering the pain of loss. Despite the pain, he motivated himself to continue by deciding to strengthen himself - to ensure such a tragedy could not happen again. After recovering from his wounds he obtained the Rear Admiral Rank at age thirty.
For the next four years he trained rigorously, starting his Haki training with the Admiral from scratch. He spent a lot of time on missions, capturing Pirate ships and crews. His successes caught the notice of the higher-ups and, once he managed to prove himself competent in the use of Haki, he was promoted to the Vice Admiral Rank.
Now aged thirty-four, Faust began to realize just what it was like to be a leader. Before now he’d been high-ranked, but he’d never quite felt like a leader to the other men. But now, he was second only to the Admiral and the people around him treated him with a huge respect. The Admiral would often put him in charge of missions and even in charge of the ship while he was away on business. He was unused to this authority, yet nevertheless did his best to live up to the Admiral's expectations, leading his men in missions to ensure as many as possible survived. But the greatest test of his leadership came when, at the age of thirty-six, he was asked to participate in a Buster Call.
Although the thought of bombing an island seemed so abhorrent, he was nevertheless convinced to take part in the Buster Call when he was told that innocent refugees would be taken away from the island when the campaign began. The island they were to attack was a Pirate-ruled kingdom that had established itself as a land of outlaws for the past hundred years. In a last-ditch effort to drive them out, a Buster Call had been authorized. The attack went as planned - the refugee ship collected the innocents and sailed away from the island as the attack was launched. But shortly after the attack began, one of the Vice-Admirals chose to shoot down the refugee ship, claiming that the people, having grown up in a pirate kingdom, were essentially pirate-supporters. The villains had been slaughtered, but so had the innocents.
Following the incident, Faust strongly considered resigning. However, the Admiral was adamant that he was the perfect man for the job and took the time to explain to him that if he just left, he would only be allowing the same tragedy to happen once again in the name of Absolute Justice. Instead of leaving, Faust decided to stay and work hard to change the policy of Marines and tear down the philosophy of Absolute Justice that had infected it.
After another three years, Faust was promoted to the Admiral Rank at age thirty nine after having the use of Busoshoku Haki. Named the Black Wolf for his loyalty to his men, he took the post from his former Admiral, who had retired earlier in the year and recommended him as a successor. Now an Admiral, he found himself frequently reporting back to G-1.
Although he performed outstandingly throughout his career as an Admiral, eight years after he was promoted he faced the biggest setback of his career. The World Government turned its gaze towards Loguetown in East Blue, where the Yonkou Hakkyou had declared herself ruler. Seeking to remove a Yonkou from her territory, the World Government assembled a fleet of ships and asked Faust to take charge of the mission. However reluctant he was to fight a Yonkou, he nevertheless felt it was his duty to fight. However, the attack did not go as planned. Although the Marines fought valiantly, it soon became clear that the Yonkou was winning. In a bloody battle Faust lost his arm to the Hellfire Queen and afterwards the Marines retreated.
Following his failure, Faust once more questioned his ability to lead and his position in the Marines. He felt unsure of himself, wondering if he really was suited to his role. However, in spite of his insecurities, his old Admiral managed to convince him to stay. Over the next two years since Faust has recovered from the attack and has learned to use a new metal prosthetic as a replacement for his old arm.

FAUST EISENRITTER
ABILITIES AND INVENTORY INVENTORYWeapons
- Die Klaue: A weapon worn over his mechanical forearm, Die Klaue is like a large, clawed glove. Although the claws are sharp, the true strength of the weapon lies in a special propulsion system built into the elbow, allowing him to rapidly accelerate and put more power behind his right arm's attacks. However, this comes with the drawback of only being able to move in a single direction, which can leave him vulnerable.
Non-weapons
- 52-card pack.
- A flask filled with smoked beer.
- Baby Den Den Mushi.
ABILITIES- Technological Know-How: In addition to his upbringing on Water 7 giving him an insight into engineering, Faust has also been taught how to maintain his mechanical arm and weapons, making him rather savvy when it comes to technology. He isn't an expert, but he's capable of repairing his own prosthetic or even his battleship when he needs to.
- Busoshoku Haki: Faust has mastered Busoshoku Haki to the point of imbuing his whole body with it, not only making him incredibly durable but also making him very physically powerful. In addition, it also renders him capable of being able to fight Logia-Users without having to worry about their natural defenses.
RACIAL FEATURES- Der Reißzahn: Faust is capable of firing his forearm from just below the elbow, shooting it forwards like a grappling hook on a strong, durable chain. This not only allows him to attack an opponent at a distance, but also functions well as a grappling hook.
- Der Biss: Although his right arm seems like an ordinary prosthetic, Faust's mechanical arm does possess a gun built into the wrist, allowing him to fire rounds of bullets at an opponent.
- Das Heulen: A special cannon built into the palm of his arm, this cannon is capable of firing a concentrated laser beam that packs incredible power, capable of even melting steel. Despite the power behind this cannon, it suffers from the drawback of requiring time to charge.
