Name of Character:
[/font][/size] Lao Hu Long.Name of Fighting Style:[/font][/size] Fishman Karate.
Type of Style[/font][/size] Close Combat/Water manipulation.
Description of Style:[/font][/size] Fishman Karate is a style that incorporates martial arts moves and the water around oneself. It is an ability that only a Fishman can learn, where one is capable of manipulating the water in the sea, in the air and even in the body to inflict damage. Although powerful, its use is hampered in areas with little moisture, such as the desert. This doesn't make the style completely useless, but it restricts the overall effectiveness and even the use of some techniques.
Moves:[/font][/size]
- Hyakumaigawara Seiken [Hundred Tile True Punch]: This technique manipulates either moisture in the air or within the body of the user in order to increase the power of the punch and send the opponent flying and cause large damage. This has the potential to break one hundred tiles. This requires a brief pause to build up moisture and after the technique is performed the user must wait an entire post before they can use it again. The user cannot use this if another Tile True punch is on cooldown.
- Senmaigawara Seiken [Thousand Tile True Punch]: An advanced version of the one hundred tile true punch that has much more power, it has the power to break one thousand tiles. This requires a two post cooldown and cannot be used if another tile true punch is on cooldown.
- Karakusagawara Seiken [Arabesque Tile True Punch]: This doesn't have as much power as the hundred tile true punch, but can be used at range. It has effective power to break 50 tiles at close range or 25 if done at distance. It has a range of 5ft on land and 20 The user strikes with a punch and uses moisture in the area (works especially well underwater) to send a shockwave with a range of 5 on land and 25ft underwater. This has a one post cooldown and cannot be used whilst another tile true punch is on cooldown.
- Gosenmaigawara Seiken [Five Thousand Tile True Punch]: This is effectively a five times stronger thousand tile true punch and is able to break 5000 tiles. This has a three post cooldown and cannot be used whilst another tile true punch is on cooldown.
- Samegawara Seiken [Shark Tile True Punch]: Another tile true punch that is considered slightly stronger than the one hundred tile true punch (can break 10 tiles). What makes it truly different however is that this can be used both close range and at a distance of 10ft on land and 30ft underwater, in a similar method to that used by the arabesque tile true punch. If used as ranged its power is halved to being able to break 55 tiles. This has a two post cooldown and cannot be used whilst another tile true punch is on cooldown.
- Uchimizu [Water Shot]: With this the user hurls a single droplet of water, usually manipulated out of the atmosphere or from within the body, with enough kinetic force that it hits with a similar amount of force to a bullet. This has a one post cooldown and cannot be used whilst the yabusame or murasame are on cooldown.
- Yabusame [Archer Military Shark]: An advanced version of the water shot which fires five droplets of water which are turned into deadly arrows by the kinetic force. This has a two post cooldown and cannot be used whilst uchimizu or murasame are on cooldown.
- Yarinami [Spear Wave]: A technique used either underwater or on the body of a surface of water. The user manipulates the water to heave a spear-shaped burst of water with enough force to pierce solid structures including ships. This has a three post cooldown.
- Nanasenmaigawara Mawashigeri [Seven Thousand Tile Roundhouse Kick]: An advanced version of the tile true punch that uses the legs instead. The user strikes the opponent with a roundhouse kick that has enough force to break 7000 tiles. This has a three post cooldown and can be used whilst a tile true punch is on cooldown.
- Umidaiko [Ocean Drum]: Used underwater. The user punches the water in front of them sending a shockwave through it to strike the opponent. This hits the opponent doing great damage and leaves a pressure mark on the target. This pressure mark differs depending on the user and in the case of Lao Hu it is in the shape of his crew's flag. This has a two post cooldown.
- Ryuusui Nukite [Flowing Water Spearhand]: A technique where the user forms their hand into a spearhand position and, whilst the hand is covered in water, thrusts forwards. The water follows the shape of the hand and shoots forwards like a sharp spear, slicing through flesh. This has a one post cooldown.
- Jodan Bakusho [High-Rank Exploding Palm]:In the case of most fishmen this is done just underwater and is simply an open palm attack to the chin of a target. Lao Hu is able to use this on land and will concentrate moisture in the area/his hand in order to increase the power of the technique, this is even more effective underwater where she has more water to manipulate. Requires a two post cooldown.
- Gyojin Jujutsu: Mizugokoro [Fishman Way of Yielding: Water Heart]: The primary technique of this style that the user initiates by first performing a bowl-shaped gesture with their webbed hands (one hand over the other) while underwater right before giving the water itself around them a mighty yank. This allows the user to physically grab and redirect currents as if they were manipulating cloth.
- Kairyuu Ipponzeoi [Sea Current Lifter]: Done after Mizugokoro. The user heaves the current upward, where it erupts from the ocean surface as a towering stream of water that can be manipulated. This is normally done to move objects or lift them in some way. This has a two post cooldown.
- Kairyuu Hebi [Sea Current Snake]: Done after Mizugokoro. The user pulls on the water and utilizes it as a whip, capable of ensnaring or striking the user. This technique lasts three posts and has a cooldown of three posts.
- Tsunami Kenjou [Tidal Wave Strong Fortress]: Done after Mizugokoro, the user pulls the water upwards and swings it back down, creating a big wave that repels enemy attacks before crashing back atop them with great blunt force capable of smashing through stone. This technique has a three post cooldown.
- Kaimen Wari [Sea Surface Splitter]: The user strikes the top of a deep surface of water with a chop creating a powerful shockwave to strike the enemy. This can send an opponent flying. Requires a two post cooldown.
- Kaisoku: Harakudashigeri [Sea Speed Stomach Drop Kick]: An attack that can currently only be used underwater. This is done by the user accelerating rapidly underwater and striking the opponent in the stomach with a drop kick. The power of the kick is increased greatly via momentum. This technique has an odd, but entertaining side effect which is to cause diarrhea in the target if it hits correctly. These symptoms last two posts and the technique has a cooldown of two posts.
- Gyojin Karate Ougi: Buraikan [Fishman Karate Secret Technique: Mighty Reliant Piercing]: One of the ultimate fishman karate techniques. The user hurls a pack of water in their hands to create a powerful water shock wave that pierces through an opponent's body. This has enough force to pierce through even giant figures and ships. It has a four post cooldown and takes a post to charge up.
Strengths:[/font][/size] This technique effectively enhances the offensive strength of a fishman exponentially by allowing them to manipulate water via the technique known as fishman jujutsu. This increases physical attack power and allows them to use ranged techniques without a weapon.
Weaknesses:[/font][/size] The techniques generally require a small amount of concentration. Furthermore, if the user is dehydrated, or the area is too dry then these techniques cannot be used.
