Attire: While as with most people, the day to day clothing a person wears might not always be absolute or consistent, Rin is no different to this. That isn't to say there are no certainties however. Such as the young woman's style is certainly a mix of traditional and modern. A good example of this would be a pair of Black Hakama pants and a pair of boots whilst her upperbody is covered in a black jacket which cuts off just below her chest, the neck and wrists of which lined in white fur. The article of clothing under being a kimono top of differing colors.
Although there one thing that will never change through Rin's wardrobe. This to honor her Father's passing, she dressing in a full modified swinging sleeve kimono, usually white and red in color with a bright blue ribbon tied around her waist. The wardrobe of choice obviously full tilt on the traditional side of her clothing choices. Much in the way she was brought up and still lives to a small degree. As one would suspect, she doesn't look to fight or do much on this day other than pay her respects.
Abnormalities: A small scar on her right shoulder. BACKGROUND Naito, an island forever shrouded in darkness, an island which was riddled with crime, the constant darkness bringing in the attention of several undesirables. The beginning for some, those who would grow up around these harsh conditions, and the end for those who would likely never know the feeling of the sun. This fate wouldn't befall upon one such girl born within the island, the girl Ishida Rin. The young girl wouldn't know much about her birthplace as it wouldn't be shortly after she was born that her Father would flee the island, not looking for his daughter to know the pain many others had felt over the years, not wanting her to grow up within the dangerous conditions of the island following the age of piracy, fearing for her safety. With that in mind, it wouldn't be a coincidence that the two of them ended up in the East Blue, the tamest of the four oceans, where he could raise his daughter in peace.
The two of them living a secluded life amongst the thick woods, their small home built amongst a clearing with a very simple architecture. Four walls, one room and a large square fire pit amongst the center of the raised floor which was used for cooking. Life was simple and yet difficult for the growing girl who knew nothing of the outside world, what lie outside the forest, nor her life prior, though she was content with it. She having grown to respect her old man who showed her so much even in her early years of life.
From her early age she had began to learn how to survive on nothing but the land and what be provided for you. How to survive the harsh conditions which may be thrown your way and how to use it as a way to strike down your foes. Rin can still to this day remember staring up at her Father with a look of wonder and awe as to all she was being told she could do, and no matter how much she may hate to admit it, this still brings a slight smirk to her face. When she became of age to even hold a sword, she soon began her training in the art of swordplay, learning the way of bladed weapons. A turning point in Rin's life, for she may remember the gentleness her Father showed before this, but the harshness to prepare her for when she eventually left this play, to prepare her for whatever journey may lay ahead for his little girl. A harshness which went from severely critiquing the young girl for each sloppy footstep she took, or swing she took to showing her little mercy whilst sparring with her.
Many a time can she remember going to bed with a bruised ribcage from a heavy kick delivered from her Father from a mistake she had made whilst attacking him. Although she never hated him for it nor did she ever have a single thought to do so, she recognized it as simply a lesson of life and she would only grow to respect this man for his strength all the more. So much did she want to become like her Father that it only fueled her further to push her limits all through the years she was growing up. To show this man that she could be like him, that she was strong, and to make him proud. She of course wouldn't hear these words until she was 14. Her Father who had come down with an illness and for the first time showed Rin his mortality, that he could be taken down. If this wasn't heartbreaking enough for her, this illness would take this man's life. This realization leading to a long and tear filled moment for Rin, especially upon hearing the words "I'm proud of you" escape her dying Father's lips. A phrase which a crying Rin would pledge to the man to only make him even more proud, to use what she had been taught.
Rin buried her Father the following day and thus buried an important thing in her life. It would be the first day she would wake up and realize how alone she truly was in this world now. The only person she had known gone. Still with her knowledge the girl was able to survive, living in isolation for a years time, living off the land as she had been taught. Although this time would not be kind to her mentality as each day she awoke, she would have to look at the cruel reminder each day of her Father's demise. It eroding at her mind day in and day out, the woman growing increasingly more jaded, further detached, and colder as the days went by. This continuing till that year was up and she couldn't stand the sight of her home anymore, unable to deal with that fact that her Father was dead any longer, she would leave the place of her childhood for the first time, she taking with her, the sword her Father had used, Arashi, and his red sash. Venturing further out into the wilderness than she had ever been, and finally into the world, where she would make good on her words from a year ago.
Although it took Rin some time to adjust to the way of the world around her, which was vastly different from the area she grew up in, the cities and many people she never knew existed. Although even amongst a crowd of them, Rin would pay very little mind, often showing a cold shoulder to most others. The only exception in this case being those who had a sword at their waist or on their back, in which case they were her prime targets. She challenging such men and women to duels to showcase a test of skill in swordplay. Some of which were wanted criminals which after defeating them, the woman was able to turn over to the Marines for a reward in which to live on. Although there would be one in particular that Rin would remember over the others. An arrogant woman by the name of Aune, a woman who once challenged refused to draw her blade, but instead drew out a knife to battle her with. Enraged by this, Rin swore to make her regret the decision, and after a surprisingly difficult battle, Rin would once again be victorious, although this would come at a price. That price would be Rin standing over the woman's bleeding body with puncture would through the chest where she had been stabbed to end the fight.
Of course this would mean that Rin had killed the woman, and would also mean that she would be seen as a murderer in the eyes of the Government if they found out. Rin's mind processing this information as she simply stood over the corpse of this woman, staring down coldly, no look of remorse on her face in the least., the blood dripping from her sword, realizing that this would be yet another turning point in her life, not due to the fact that she would be viewed as a criminal, but at the mere fact she felt a small spark within her at the sight of this. The battle, the kill and the aftermath. A smirk began to form on her face as a bit of the blood which splattered on her face began to curve around the corners of her lips, inevitably dripping from her chin. She would continue to survey the woman, eventually bending down to pick up the knife the woman had used, a trophy she would take for a good fight. Rin's mind this whole time tracing back to the training her Father had given her. Was this what her Father had tried teaching her?

ISHIDA RIN
ABILITIES AND INVENTORY INVENTORYWeapons
- Kuroneko -
The knife which was formerly used by Aune, now within Rin's possession. Slowly the weapon has made it's way into being the main thing you'll see her use. The Knife has a black grip and the blade is a darkened steel, hence the name.
Non-weapons
- Red sash -
Worn by her father, an important thing in her life and something she cherishes greatly and would die for.
- Arashi -
Her Father's katana, not being used these days as to preserve the sword's well being. Although she carries it everywhere for the time being as she doesn't have much else to put it.
ABILITIES- Swordsmen
Far from a master swordsmen, Rin is not unfamiliar with a bladed weapon however. Showcasing great skill with one in hand.
- Speed
Perhaps thanks to her small size, Rin is blessed with high speed, allowing her to move around both quickly and swiftly at the drop of the hat. This of course can also be credited to the fact that she was trained by her father as such.
