Height: 6ft 1in Weight: 190lbs Hair Color: Blonde Eye Color: Blue Attire: Jacob will pretty much whatever is required of him: from the standard white uniform that admirals and vice-admirals wear, to camouflage and even the black suits worn by Cipher-Poll agents (due to his former membership in Cipher-Poll 7) Jacob sports a huge variety of clothes for his job. He also, however, has a tendency to wear a unique "Blue" uniform that was given to him as a gift from his commanding officers for his heroics in the paradise lost incident (which can be seen in the picture above). Since the blue uniform is the one he is most often seen in, it should probably be the one described. The uniform consists of a long, blue coat with a button up top, the bottom of the coat being open enough that it seems almost like a tasset. The uniform comes with blue pants and black boots. Abnormalities: Jacob possesses a gigantic number of scars from a huge variety of injuries over his torso, arms and legs. He also has a slogan tattooed across each shoulder blade. On his right is "Live Just" and on his left is "Live Free". He also has the genetic abnormality known as situs inversus totalis. This causes all the organs in his body to be the reverse positions of a normal person's. So instead of his heart being on the left side of his chest it is located on the right. There's no outward way to know this, as the abnormalities are only on his internal organs. BACKGROUND Jacob C. Vinland is the patriarch of the Vinland family and a legend amongst an already well-known family in the marines. Born to Joshua and Amelia C. Vinland, Jacob grew up much like any vinland boy would: dreaming of becoming a marine and serving justice in whatever way he could. Little did Jacob realize in his youth just how much of an impact he would have on the marines, or for that matter, the world. His military career started with a bang, as at the young age of 16 he enlisted under a false name and, thanks to his incredible skills honed from childhood, earned quick promotions and respect. Jacob quickly rose to the rank of captain under his false name until, after an investigation (ironically instigated by his own father) Jacob's true identity came to light. Rather then "punish" jacob in a direct manner, the marines elected to instead move Jacob to a less public yet more prestigious position: Cipher Poll. Jacob was the youngest ever member of Cipher poll and one of the youngest captains at the age of twenty. Three years and an even more impressive growing resume later, the famed "Plundering of Eden" and "Operation: Paradise Lost" incidents came to being. Despite the loss of his entire cipher-poll 7 unit minus himself, the incident propelled Jacob into the status of living legend, earning him the title of "The Boss" and a place as a hero amongst marines. Jacobs fame further propelled him to the rank of vice-admiral and special-forces trainer...where, to this day, he stayed, despite numerous commendations, recommendations and even pressure for Jacob to take the rank of Admiral. To this day, Jacob has completed thousands of missions and operations, remains one of the most skilled operatives (and trainers) of combat in the known world. Jacob currently has a son, Hector C. Vinland, and is unmarried since his wife's death in childbirth. Vinland ABILITIES AND INVENTORY INVENTORY Weapons The Daymakers:

[/url] "The Daymakers" are a pair of large, magnum revolvers that Jacob carries. Custom made, these guns weigh in at about 15 lbs each (16 lbs when loaded) and are state of the art. They possess an incredible punch, possessing armor-pericing capabilities due to the custom design of the bullets and a range/accuracy rivaling most standard sniper rifles due to the complex rifling within the barrel. The gun has an easy to switch cylinder, allowing for fast reloads as long as one has enough additional cylinders (which Jacob always does). They are also capable of being loaded with custom ammo that is currently under development. Rather amusingly, Jacob also carries optional silencer and scope attachments for the pistols.

[/li][li] Custom Dueling Knives: Jacob can usually be found possessing several very large, menacing combat knives. These knives were designed specifically with utility in mind, and their unusual size (they clock in at 22 inches, with a 16 inch blade) was also designed to allow them to be used in blade combat against swords. Jacob usually carries four of them on his person: One on the right side of his chest (over his heart), One over his left shoulder and one strapped to the outside of each thigh. These knives can be thrown by Jacob for devastating effect against lightly armored targets. Oddly enough, Jacob never seems to run out of knives to throw.

  As a result of his many, many years of combat and experience, Jacob has an understanding of many different forms of combat, ranging from unarmed/melee combat with less exotic melee weapons (IE: Swords, spears, axes, etc.) to ranged combat and war tactics, Jacob's understanding of fighting in general is to a degree that he knows how to fight no matter what situation he is in.

  jacob, as a vice-admiral and thanks to his many years of training alongside his wife, has unlocked the ability to use "Haki", a mysterious energy source that could be described as the energy of the soul or mind. Jacob is capable of using the following Haki abilities:
  
  Kenbunshoku-haki: Jacob has the power of Kenbunshoku, or "Mantra" haki (as it is known in some circles of the world). This haki acts like a minds eye, and enables Jacob to detect the presence of others and also gauge their relative strength as well as detect or "read" oncoming attacks to help him dodge or simply assess the situation.
  
  Busoshoku-Haki: Jacob has the power of Busoshoku, or "invisible armor" haki. This give him the ability to imbue his entire body or specific parts of it with an invisible force that can be used for both offense (increasing the hitting force of Jacob's strikes, both unarmed and with weapons. Also can project waves of kinetic force, as well as enhance the force of shots from firearms he uses) and defense (hardening the body/specific part of the body to block an attack or reduce its damage). This ability allows Jacob to damage logia-class devil fruit users and other users of non-conventional body-altering abilities.

Tough as Nails: "There is a big difference between being a little dead, very dead and completely dead."

Due to years of combat, training exercises and sheer force of will, Jacob's scarred body is extremely durable. Jacob's body, by itself, has become so tough that he can simply shrug off smaller wounds without much of a care. This means that the effectiveness of conventional kinetic damage is reduced (IE: cuts, bullet wounds and blunt forced trauma. Cannot reduce damage from burns, electrocution, etc). Moreover, due to his many near-death experiences Jacob's body is capable of sustaining absolutely insane amounts of punishment and not only survive but maintain combat readiness. This makes Jacob more injure through simpler means and makes those injuries that much less debilitating.

  As a result of his, uh, "Physical Interactions" with his wife, Jacobs body has become much more powerful, efficient, and overall better. Jacob's body has twice the abilities of normal human potential in every aspect, giving him tremendous speed (his movements can appear as a blur to the normal human eye, increased strength, increased stamina, sharper senses and more efficient healing, among other things. This superhuman gift has been granted to Jacob on a genetic level, and can be passed down to his children (or future lovers) as a result of the "Vinland Bloodline".
