In all honesty, Lucia wasn’t very surprised when Ascalon angrily defended Undine. It seemed that this poor man was completely under the siren’s spell as well. He even went as far as to say he loved her. She just scoffed at the thought. How ridiculous. Didn’t he just earlier mention how she wouldn’t give him the time of day? How could he honestly love such a cruel woman? Especially when there was a certain someone ready to return his love, just waiting to be noticed... No, there was no way. Ascalon wasn’t foolish like that. There had to be more to it than just simple infatuation. Something supernatural perhaps?
However, that thought was shoved aside for a moment when someone crashed onto the roof. Of course it had to be the very devil they had spoken of. Lucia’s eyes narrowed into a chilling glare, but she said nothing while the mermaid verbally assaulted the man. It was the final proof she needed. No self-respecting man would take such insults so sheepishly without some sort of love curse being in effect. This wicked siren had gone too far. Lucia’s grip on her umbrella tightened until her hands were absolutely white. The beginning of a purple aura danced at her feet and her eyes shined in the moonlight. It was taking all her self-control to not snap again.
The enraged woman snapped back to reality and the aura vanished when Ascalon addressed her. Slowly, her icy glare melted and her lips curled to a smile as she turned towards Undine. "Well, well... If it isn’t the disobedient slave girl in the middle of yet another failed escape attempt. How pitiful." While her smile was kind and sweet, her words were dripping with venom. Not even the honed noblewoman’s façade could hide her deep distain towards the mermaid. Unlike Ascalon, she had no intention of taking the slave’s side. "Nanashi is not going to be happy when he hears about this." Oh yes, she was planning to tell the Captain the first chance she got.
Lucia turned her gaze towards the beautiful moon and continued with a slightly lighter tone. "But since I’m not utterly heartless, like you seem to be, I’ll let you enjoy this short night of freedom." It was only because the magnificent view slowly improved her mood that she even allowed the slave such luxury. However, she would be informing the Captain no matter how the mermaid tried to argue or bargain. Perhaps then the Captain would get rid of her... With that wicked thought in mind, she suddenly reached out to hook arms with Ascalon, much like a clingy little girl. "And don’t even think about trying to hurt Ascalon or you’ll be sorry." Her eyes gleamed ominously at the words.
Curse or no curse, she wouldn’t let this rude harlot bother Ascalon.

i don't need a knight so baby take off all your armor! [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:400px; background-color:#282828; padding:10px, bTable] ”Hey Undine, fancy meeting you here. And I’m not a perv, I keep telling you, I didn’t mean to.” said the male. Undine glared at him. ”Yes you are. You poked my private parts! I'm tired of people staring at me like I'm a freak show! It's quite annoying.” muttered the mermaid. ”Don’t worry, Undine. I’m on your side. I keep trying to tell you that and you never believe me.” said Ascalon. Undine glared at him once again. ”I don't trust anyone. Especially you walking creatures.” said the siren. ”Uhh… Undine, join us if you would. We’re just talking and enjoying the scenery. Sounds good, right Lucia?” said Ascalon.
That was when Undine began to take notice of the other female presence. She looked back to Ascalon. ”What are you doing here with her?” asked Undine. She didn't know why she cared but she did. ”Nevermind. I don't care. Not like I have any business in your love life.” muttered the female angrily. She didn't know why she was being angered by the fact that this girl was here. "Well, well... If it isn’t the disobedient slave girl in the middle of yet another failed escape attempt. How pitiful." said the female apparently named Lucia. The mermaid glared at her, her hand tightening on the trident she wielded. "Don't. Call. Me. A. Slave." said Undine dangerously. She quite meant that seriously. Who knows what Undine would do? No one really knew her true powers other than herself and her father who resided far away in the kingdom of fishmen island.
"Nanashi is not going to be happy when he hears about this." said Lucia. Undine let out a growl. "I doubt you'll be able to. Since this man here seems sooooo intent on not letting the captain know of this." muttered the female, now not caring about what happened to her at this point. She could die right here and now and she wouldn't care. At least she'd be gone from the world where human hatred ruled. "But since I’m not utterly heartless, like you seem to be, I’ll let you enjoy this short night of freedom." said Lucia.
Somehow that just pissed Undine off. "I'm only heartless because of you humans. Treating my kind as if they're worthless fishes. It doesn't matter that we can look like you. We're only good for sitting there and looking pretty, well not happening in my book." said Undine angrily. Then suddenly anger flared up within her as soon Lucia little arm hooked around Ascalon. "And don’t even think about trying to hurt Ascalon or you’ll be sorry." The siren reeled in her anger, she didn't know why she was jealous of this little girl holding onto Ascalon. It wasn't like she was in love with him right? Or even dating. Hah not even close.
"A little too late for that sweetie. I've already harmed Ascalon. He deserved it for poking me in my private parts." said the female stubbornly, glancing at Ascalon only to be distracted by Lucia's arm around his. Then she said somethign without thinking. "Keep your hands of him!" yelled the siren before realizing what she just said, a small faint blush coming to her cheeks. "Erm, I mean. It's just that Ascalon reminds me a lot of my best friend and I was protective of him." said Undine, making up a part-truth excuse. It was true that her best friend was also a cyborg and was the only one that got Undine to open up the he vanished.

Oh, how much Ascalon wished he could console Undine. He too, hated how people looked at her. Like she was a possession or something. Almost like she had no freedom. Those were the people Ascalon couldn’t stand. He did everything he could to make Undine feel equal and wanted, at least by him, but nothing seemed to get through. Once the mermaid realized that Lucia was occupying space with them, she seemed to get… defensive to some extent. She questioned Ascalon as to why he was there with her, yet didn’t give him time to answer. He did, however, try to say something, but it came out as an: I… before Undine cut him off, stating that she didn’t care about his “love life”.
That statement sent Ascalon’s mind off into space. His love life? What a misunderstanding that was. Lucia was awesome and Ascalon wanted to be friends with her, but he wanted Undine. While Ascalon missed out on most of the cat fight, he did pick up little bits and pieces. Lucia called Undine a slave to her face, which prompted the otherwise spacing Cybrog to deliver a glare at the girl. Ascalon didn’t even think about glaring either. Maybe that voice was taking over a bit. That… could only end poorly.
By the time Ascalon had come to; Lucia had his arm hooked with hers and warned Undine not to hurt him. That was… a tad late, as Undine informed the girl. He’d just given up trying to convince Undine that he accidently poked her, not that he did it on purpose. Maybe he did. At that point, he didn’t really know. He was, once more, interrupted before he could say anything. This time, it was Undine shouting at Lucia to “keep her hands off of Ascalon”. Helios looked up to see that Undine had a faint blush on her cheeks. Apparently Ascalon reminded Undine of a friend she had long ago. He felt special, but that wasn’t the time to feel special. He had to keep the peace.
The cyborg removed himself from Lucia’s grasp and stepped back a bit, placing one hand on the shoulder of each woman. Both of you calm down, kay? He stated, smiling a bit. He wasn’t having fun with two people fighting around him, he just knew that he had to smile. He wasn’t sure why, he just knew. How about we talk this out like equals? Lucia, that means no using the word “slave”, and Undine, don’t use “you humans” or anything like that. We’re equals here. If y’all can’t do that, I’ll tote you both back to the ship and put you both in the corner. Now talk it out. I’m the mediator. Ascalon joked, trying to lighten the mood.

Lucia was just about to snap at Undine again for claiming to have hurt Ascalon when her accusation about him finally registered in her mind. He had... poked... what? Thanks to all the dirty novels the secretly perverted noble had read, she interpreted Undine's words quite differently. Her eyes widened and a bright crimson blush immediately flared on her cheeks. She quickly glanced between the mermaid and the cyborg, stuttering her misunderstanding. "So he... and you... you two had... had... s-s-se..." But she just couldn't quite say it. Her upbringing was barely stopping the biggest words from leaving her mind. While she would never admit it, right now she was incredibly jealous of the mermaid.
Much to her endless frustration, she couldn't even get men to look at her due to her... size...
Desperately trying to push that infuriating thought aside and to keep her emotions in check, Lucia looked away with a flustered mutter. "You should keep such intimate matters to yourself." Even if they protested, she was too busy fuming to listen. The distraction was so strong that she didn't even notice that Ascalon slipped away from her grasp. How dare that cruel harlot seduce the handsome man and then treat him like this? Utterly unforgivable! Just thinking about it made the demonic, purple aura blaze around her like an angry flame. Right now, only the fact that Undine was under the strict protection of another man Lucia had fallen for protected the mermaid from hellish wrath...
Finally, Ascalon’s words reached the irritated, jealous noblewoman, mostly because she could hardly stand his joking tone. The purple aura flared as she turned her head away and openly scoffed at the proposition. Her tone remained as venomous as ever. "Hmph, I have nothing to say to this shameless siren." She didn’t even bother looking at her as she spoke, instead directing her words to Ascalon."Her feud is with humans, so it doesn't concern me." Naturally, she considered herself to be more than a human, even if Undine might have disagreed. However, deep down she could also understand how Undine felt, since von Frevels had always been seen as monsters.
Still, her jealousy was stronger than anything else she felt.
Lucia spared only one chilling glance at the mermaid to throw a snide comment disguised as advice. "Furthermore, if she is so bothered by admiring looks, then perhaps she should stop flaunting her beautiful curv- erm, I mean, she should hide her shameful body." Well, that hadn’t gone like she had planned. Hopefully they didn’t notice... Taking another deep breath to calm down, she turned to the handsome cyborg with a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. "Come now, Ascalon, can’t we leave this awfully jealous mermaid behind and enjoy the night?" She reached out to gently tug his sleeve and revealed her most seductive smile.
"Just the two of us... under the moonlight..."

i don't need a knight so baby take off all your armor! [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellspacing,0,true][atrb=style, width:400px; background-color:#282828; padding:10px, bTable] The blonde seemed to be surprised. "So he... and you... you two had... had... s-s-se..." stammered the blonde. Undine was confused for a moment. "You should keep such intimate matters to yourself." said the female rather angrily. Then realization hit Undine. Ewwwwwwwwww. The girl thought they had... done it. Why would a seafolk like her lower herself to a lover with legs? Granted she almost did that before with her friend that was long gone now. Now wasn't the time to remember her dead friend. A devious idea formed in her mind.
"That's right~ We did do it~" giggled the female. She was only playing along with Lucia had assumed of them. "Wasn't it fun Asc?" said the mermaid as she looked at Asc with a teasing look. "Both of you calm down, kay?" said Ascalon in the middle of the two's conversation. " How about we talk this out like equals? Lucia, that means no using the word “slave”, and Undine, don’t use “you humans” or anything like that. We’re equals here. If y’all can’t do that, I’ll tote you both back to the ship and put you both in the corner. Now talk it out. I’m the mediator." suggested Ascalon.
The blondie seemed to be intent on keeping the relationship status between her and Undine as "Never becoming friends". "Hmph, I have nothing to say to this shameless siren." said Lucia. She spoke as if Undine wasn't there. Well that was a nice change for once. The attention wasn't on her. "Her feud is with humans, so it doesn't concern me." Undine let out a sigh. "My fued is with anyone that is not a seafolk. Anyone can kidnap us and sell us like we're nothing. Humans being the worse." muttered the Undine but she doubted her comment would reach her ears.
"Furthermore, if she is so bothered by admiring looks, then perhaps she should stop flaunting her beautiful curv- erm, I mean, she should hide her shameful body." said Lucia. This time, Undine had to let out a laugh. "Well I'm sorry that you humans are so infatuated with looks here on land. The way I dress is part of my upbringing and how seafolks dresses. Be quite silly to see a mermaid swimming fully clothed." said the female. She didn't even know why she was bothering to stand up for herself.
"Come now, Ascalon, can’t we leave this awfully jealous mermaid behind and enjoy the night?" said Lucia, flashing her seductive smile at Ascalon. Undine rolled her eyes. "Just the two of us... under the moonlight..." said Lucia.
"It won't work. He's in looovvveee with me. After all, we did... that." said the mermaid, letting out another laugh. She was done being angry, she might as well have her fun with teasing this girl. However, Undine had no idea how close to the truth she was about Ascalon being in love with her.

Nothing was going as planned. Ascalon might as well have stuck two bears in a cage and had them debate over who got the last piece of meat. At least the bears might just share or something. Lucia and Undine… not so much. They were quite happy to bicker. A slight blush started to come to Ascalon’s cheeks as Lucia demonstrated her acrobatics by jumping to conclusions about Ascalon and Undine. She thought the two had… done it before. Though, Ascalon could understand the confusion, seeing as Undine said that he had “poked her in a private place”. She left the “where” to the imagination.
Before the cyborg could even begin to clear up the confusion; Undine made it worse. She was going to play along and claim that they had done it. Ascalon’s blush got a bit darker and his head dropped to look at his feet. If only she knew. Undine’s words stabbed him like daggers. Not those weak dagger throwers either. They hurt like a professional. He started to contemplate grabbing the two of them and taking both of them back to the ship just to get them away from each other and himself to be alone. Lucia tried to sway him with the prospect of walking under the moon with her; yet Undine hit him with yet another well placed dagger. She had to know his feelings. Everything she said was so perfectly placed. By that point, Ascalon’s cheeks were about as red as Lucia’s eyes. He couldn’t pick his head up, not to show them that he was embarrassed. Helios shut his visor over his face, hiding his embarrassment. Then he was able to pick his head up again.
Lucia… Undine and I never had sex. Hell, I doubt she’d touch me with a ten foot pole. You said it yourself how she treats me. Ascalon admitted, a tinge of sadness on his voice. Why him? My love is one-sided… He added with a small, almost pathetic laugh. So… can you two please stop insulting each other? I think y’all would make great friends. Both of you are misunderstood, strong women. He urged the two, his hands lightly rubbing their shoulders. He was just glad that they couldn’t see beneath his visor.

With each word the siren spoke, Lucia was having greater difficulties keeping her hellish rage in check. The noblewoman just couldn't stand how the mermaid was treating such an intimate and tender matter as a joke, giggling about it like some shameless harlequin. How dare she?! Never mind Undine's feud with humans or anyone else for that matter, Lucia was ready to start a personal war with the mermaid. Perhaps she would beat the harlot within an inch of her life and then heal her injuries so that no one would notice. Yes, that seemed like a plan... Her fingers curled into a fist and the purple aura flared violently. She was mere seconds away from bashing the mermaid off the roof.
Then, Ascalon's words stopped her.
It quickly became obvious that the infatuated girl wasn't getting the moonlight stroll she had wished for, but she was too distracted to care. Much to her relief, the young man revealed that the mermaid had lied about their... intimacy, but there was something else about him as well... Ascalon's sudden change of demeanor had her worried. The sadness in his voice had been just a brief hint, but Lucia noticed immediately. It was that mermaid's fault. She was hurting Ascalon again, obviously on purpose. Why else would she tell such lies with clear glee? It was utterly unforgivable, but... Now was not the time to be angry.
Lucia couldn't take the heartbreaking situation anymore and gently cupped Ascalon's hand between her small fingers. "Please, Ascalon, pay no mind to this heartless sea witch. Someone like her can't understand love and tender feelings." The young noble looked away from him for a short moment, only to shoot a venomous glare at the mermaid. "Feelings are obviously just toys to her." She then reached out to hug the cyborg gently and a small, hopeful smile visited her lips. "I'm sure you will soon find someone who truly loves you... In fact, there is someone closer than you think..." Perhaps now she could finally break the spell that siren had placed on the poor man.
It seemed that even with his emotional state, Ascalon was still trying to make the two young women friends, attempting to make them see what they had in common. Unfortunately, Lucia had her reservations towards the idea. Trying to hold onto Ascalon, as if to shield him from the mermaid, Lucia turned her gaze down and muttered. "Tch, what would a childish mermaid know about being misunderstood?" The demonic aura flickered around her while she sneered just enough to show her unnatural fangs. "They are seen as the epitome of beauty, while my family is treated like a plague from hell." No, someone like as popular as Undine could never understand how lonely Lucia had been...
