There are plenty of things he cares about, is just that he shows this caring in an very interesting way. This carelessness of his is also seen in battle some times, letting out sarcastic comments at his opponents to hear. Him being carefree can be an positive and negative trait, but it all depends on the scenario playing out in front of him. Ryoga is also very protective when it comes to people being loyal even going to the extremes when it comes to it, he has no qualms ending lives due to someone betraying him. The funny thing is that Ryoga can be an hypocrite when it comes to it, seeing as he feels as if he can back stab his allies any time. The only people he would probably stay loyal to would be his crew members, and most likely only the ones close to him; his history had twisted him slightly when it came to trusting people. He holds himself in a rather regal stance, and his actions, and the way he acts just pulls people closer to him. BACKGROUND Birthed from a long line of Shandian warriors, his line said to be second best next to the chief's due to their loyalty and love for their home land. Ever since the very start Ryoga had been raised as an warrior, said to have been an prodigy even; able to fight on par with Skypeian warriors older than himself. It was a recognizable feat indeed, and slowly year by year he would fall into the chief's favor. Ending up with him being the chief's favorite warrior. Several experiences had passed by, Ryoga's determination to protect his land growing day by day; not forgetting of the sacrifices his father had made for the land. As the chief's favorite warrior, life was good for the man. He had all the riches around, not only that but he had been given an devil fruit as an reward for his patriotic mannerism. An famed veteran was what the man became, yet he was growing weary year by year, he was being torn emotionally due to all the events that had passed by within his eyes as an warrior for Skypeia. He got sick and tired of the constant deaths and unfortunate events of his people, ending up with him quitting the life of an soldier. Yet it did not help him, even though the quitting the deaths of his people kept tormenting him. That was until he would be given Gabriela by the chief, and fall in love with her. His fiance would be the one to give him the gift of her calming words and actions, healing his tormented soul. Shortly after deciding to get married the two would make new life forms and Ryoga would return to the life of an warrior. Lucky for Ryoga there was three children, the Skypeians considering him blessed; well that was until they took note of one of his child's mutations, that child being Sanguinius. It was none other than The Silver Birkan Wing Mutation. It was rather unexpected, and had caused slight problems around him and his people; problems that Ryoga was well aware of. Yet due to his high stature in society the people who taught of his child as an omen could not do much so the family continued living an overall good life. That was until the family would lose Sanguinius before he even hit his teens. Having clues that lead him to think that the kidnappers were his own tribe members, Ryoga would fall into an deep rage yet he did not dare touch any one. Sanguinius would come back three years later, the family taking him in with open arms. With the tribe noticing Ryoga's rage, and with the recent killings within the tribe they would use his rage as an excuse, accusing him of mass genocide within his tribe. Finding no alternative Ryoga and Sanguinius managed to escape before being sent to the desert cloud landing in Nakamura Island. They would shortly notice the weird looking natives around the island, which lead them to fight them off, and then escape once more. Yet it all ended up in an failure with Ryoga being captured by slavers. The capture being easy due to their lack of food and water, the two would then depart from each other with Ryoga heading for the blue seas. That would be the last time the man would ever hear of his son. Before ever being sold Ryoga would escape, releasing the rest of the slaves around the place. With the Noles being angry they would force the World Government to put up a pirate bounty for him, weather pirate or not. It started off rather high due to the noble's pure anger, knowing that bounty hunters and marines alike would be coming to him like locusts. Without no food and water or money to get either, it seemed rather hopeless that was until Ryoga had decided to take up the mantle of an pirate. Stealing and constant stealing, ravaging places out of pure anger, and will of survival. The man was given a bad reputation, making him an feared Rookie Pirate with a big name. The whereabouts of his family would stop being wondered about, his rage for his home village very much still there. Years would pass by and Ryoga would stay crew less, that was until he would realize that without an crew he would not be surviving much longer. It had all came down to him starting off as an captain with an stolen ship, and then getting followers to follow him shortly after. It was then he would hear stories of the Pirate King and One Piece, with that he would begin his journey. A pirate without an goal was somewhat meaningless. He would face journey's of pure danger with him surviving them all, ending up with him making a very big name for himself. Then came the day he would be classified as an Yonkou due to all his achievements, being seen as an top problem and one of the strongest pirates in the world for the World Government. With the position of Yonkou, life as an pirate seemed to be much easier every body feared him and it was much easier to travel around and gain followers, leading him to have an rather large crew within his vessel. The rifle is unique in that it is not flint locked but cartridge based, using a design created by Ryoga himself, with ammunition he makes himself as well. Using a modified cylinder loading system, Gogol can hold a maximum of exactly 8 bullets at one time though Ryoga rarely needs more than one or two. The long rifle body is made from heavily fortified Adam wood and the steel is a unique composite made using top secret methods by the Marine science division that is specifically designed to be able to handle the massive amounts of force exerted by the firing of just a single large bullet from his gun, a force that would demolish ordinary steel. Gogol does possess a scope one that magnifies by a minimum of 8x and a maximum of 64x though due to his incredible natural eyesight the 64x zoom is actually miles and miles away with pinpoint accuracy. Thorns - A pair of handguns using the same materials as Gogol is made of and again using a cartridge based system for ammunition albeit at a much smaller caliber than Gogol uses, as well the same cylinder system users in Gogol is used here though in a scaled down format. Saber: A pretty normal saber sword, he has stole it from a Marine and had just began Swordsmanship, it is not often used in battle seeing as he has just began using blades but even then he is at least confident and skilled enough to trust himself to at least use it one in battle. As Ryoga's body is capable of taking massive amounts of damage and still keep him standing, the amount of reinforcement that is generated from healed wounds is highly increased. Through a method of directly exposing his body to flames for several hours at a time, in which the heat would gradually work its way within the man and cause damage to multiple parts of his body and allowing the wounds to heal some times using his Devil Fruit to help him, Ryoga has created a way to increase his own physical durability several times higher than it used to be, perhaps equaling that of a tough giant's. Unlike before, however, this training method worked to increase the durability of something thought impossible for martial artists to do; their internal organs. As of now, the once soft parts of Ryoga's body are now hard as steel. Internal attacks, such as electricity and poisons, aimed towards Ryoga are now greatly hindered. Lethal attacks such as these will only deal under moderate damage, requiring quite a bit of successive use in order to fully affect the man. Electric attacks that do not focus in stunning will fail to do so in the man, and his organs can withstand the damages caused by toxins to an impossible degree. Seeing as such an increased rate of results requires one to expose his or herself to a lethal amount of heat, this training would only work with Ryoga, its creator. Busoshoku Haki: Busoshoku Haki is another specialty for Ryoga, able to counteract and break through most attacks with his bare hands just by using it. The force generated by his Busoshoku is so high that he can demolish large ships just by striking them with an open hand while using the Haki. When used in conjunction with his gun, however, his Busoshoku mastery becomes even more apparent as he can coat and fire off bullets covered in Haki incredibly rapidly with a destructive force that is almost unbelievable to mere humans. Of course using his Busoshoku means that Devil Fruit and especially Logia users are easy prey for Ryoga, which works out well in his favor. Enhanced Dexterity: Ryoga is the world's greatest marksman and weapon specialist, bar none as others say. His skill with an weapon is legendary, able to hit a fly from miles away in hurricane force winds. Doing so is simply natural for him and the speed at which he readies his shots is on a whole new level as well, able to reload and aim again in mere fractions of a second, so fast that most people don’t see him move at all unless they are watching very closely or have trained on a whole new level. His eyes are perhaps his greatest asset to his shooting, training his body to the point where the world appears to move in slow motion when he focuses allows Ryoga to track and shoot down nearly anything. Ryoga is also adept at trick shooting, manipulating the position of his rifle while firing in order to achieve devastating trick attacks. RACIAL FEATURES Enhanced Physiology: As a Shandian, Ryoga's body is naturally adapted to flying. As a consequence, his body is much tougher than that of a human in order to withstand the friction and impact forces associated with constant high-speed flight. His eyes in particular are immune to the constant wind force and friction that he is forced to endure when flying, especially at high speeds. In order to be able to breathe at the high altitudes he flies in, he has a special membrane in his lungs that helps extract oxygen from the very thin air and prevents residual volume issues. This allows him to breathe normally high up and helps out his endurance by giving him more oxygen to use, especially at ground level. He has virtually no body fat and he has extremely strong muscles in order to compensate for the fact that his bones aren't hollow. Because of that, he has superhuman strength in order to be able to lift himself with his wings and even to just move with those admittedly heavy wings at all. While the rest of his body is strong as well, the strongest parts of his body are undoubtedly his wings. This strength enables him to be able to tear iron apart with his bare hands, create craters on the ground with one punch, and shatter small ships with a hit from his wings just by using raw force. This ability is shared by his son, as they are related.
