BACKGROUND Rico was born to a single mother on a small island of unknown coordinates. Rico never met his father. His mother had managed to raise Rico all by herself until some illness took her away from him. The things he could only remember learning from his mother was to be true to himself and always treat ladies right. Hos mothers last words to him that he was related to Gol D. Rogers. So he adapted that last name along with his name. Rico was discovered by a crew of marines, they decided to take him in and assign him to being a cabin boy.
