Fishmen generally got odd looks when entering restaurants like the Baratie. It wasn't necessarily out of prejudice (Though, it must be said, sometimes it was) but because of the bizarre relationship of Fishmen and Seafood. People figured Fishmen and Mermaids had to eat something down at the bottom of the sea, no one argued against that. But seafood? Those unfamiliar with the inner-workings of Fishman society generally found the matter rather odd. A sea creature - or being, rather, eating seafood? Some wondered if that counted as cannibalism. Of course, such notions were pure ignorance. The Tiger Shark Fishman ate lots of seafood before - he'd hardly bat an eyelash at eating even more of it.
The blond Fishman stepped into the restaurant with a somewhat irritated look - not because he was actually irritated, but because he always felt on edge. He wasn't generally a very trusting person and he had every reason not to be trusting. But he wasn't going to go on a rampage here - he was just going to have some food and be on his way. That was the plan, at least. The eye not covered by hair glanced towards the maitre d, his brow raised ever so slightly as he waited for the man to speak. The man appeared a little taken aback by the rough-looking Fishman, but nevertheless he smiled and nodded, welcoming the Fishman. Briefly he wondered if the maitre d reacted because he recognized him. Many people did, after all.
"Right this way, sir, right this way!" he hurried the Fishman to a table, leading him to one located on the far right of the room. As the Fishman sat himself down in a seat, the maitre d smiled and spoke again. "Just wait a second, sir! A waiter will be with you shortly..."
Watching the maitre d leave to welcome other guests, the Fishman cracked his neck and leaned back in his chair, his strong arms crossed as he turned his head to look out the window. He watched fish swim through the water and briefly wondered if anyone was going to come and take his head. It wasn't all that unlikely - people tried it every once in a while. But then, of course, out here it would be suicide. The ocean surrounded them on all sides. It seemed silly to plan out an attack strategy in case you were attacked during lunch, but the Fishman had learned a long time ago that it was more than likely in his case. Not because he was a Fishman, of course, but because he was a Pirate. But not just any Pirate either.
He was the Yonkou "Sharktooth" Lao Hu Long.

Baratie. A legendary restaurant, perhaps moreso than even it's infamous clientele. Particularly one man sitting at a table, the FIshman Yonkou Lao Hu Long, and a man who was just entering, along with a grouping of his crew, the infamous Nameless Devil, the Yonkou Nanashi. Behind Nanashi was a small portion of his crew, about ten members, who completely bypassed the maitre di and went straight to an open table near Lao Hu, all of them sitting down, with Nanashi at the head, his anchor rested at his side.
As the waiter came to the table, Nanashi motioned to one of his crewmates, who spoke quickly. "Three of everything, and five bottles of your best wine. Quick as possible, too." Nanashi sighed, though it wasn't audible through his mask, before glancing around the room a few times, noticing the number of stares he and his men were receiving. "Hm, not surprised. Not with two Yonkou in the building, especially with one bringing subordinates." He thought to himself.

Lao Hu didn't even look as the other customers hushed themselves (In an ironically noisy manner, to boot). As he sat and waited for his meal, he could already tell someone quite infamous had arrived. And it wasn't just one man either - it was a group, not too big, but probably no smaller than at least seven. Even the waiter, as he slowly stepped towards Lao Hu's table, had rather shaky sounding footsteps. It was hard to describe, but if you could convey fear through the sound of your own footsteps, the waiter was definitely doing it. By the time the waiter arrived at the table, Lao Hu finally turned to look at him. Not the waiter, but the men who'd arrived. The masked man immediately caught his notice before he turned his gaze up to the waiter.
"I'll have salmon teriyaki. Bring a big jug of water as well," he told the waiter, who quickly and hurriedly wrote everything down. Usually he'd prefer rum since, well, it was rum. But whenever he went to a restaurant out in public, he ordered water. Not just as a drink, but as a weapon. If ever he needed water for his Fishman Karate, a jug of water was more than enough. He wasn't exactly picking a fight with his fellow Yonkou, of course, but you always had to be cautious of them picking a fight with you. And of course, what was to stop the Marines from attempting an ambush? Well, probably the fact there were two Yonkou, actually. He doubted the Marines would dare pick a fight with them both while they were out here. Still, once the waiter was gone, he looked over to the masked Yonkou again.
"What a coincidence... This doesn't happen everyday..." he remarked. It wasn't particularly loud, so he didn't know if they actually heard him. Even as he turned and cracked his neck a little again, he made sure to keep a watchful eye out, just in case. "Didn't expect two Yonkou to even be in the same Blue, much less the same restaurant..." he murmured. It was uncertain but doubtful anyone heard that part, but honestly he didn't care if they heard or not.

Very bored. The female bent over the rails of the ship, placing her elbows on the rail. Apparently they were docked at the a famous floating restaurant. Nanashi, the captain who had bought her, had gone inside with his few selected men. Undine glared at her bracelet that Nanashi had placed on her to prevent her from escaping. Undine gritted her teeth. That's it. She can't take this anymore. She wasn't going to let anyone tie her down and make her bound to a person. Undine grabbed her trident and jumped over the jail into the ocean below.
♒ There was nothing that could stop her from escaping. With a powerful swish of her tail, she shot out into the depths of the ocean. Undine was enjoying this freedom. The freedom of the endless ocean. That freedom only lasted for a fleeting moment. An insanely loud beeping blared into Undine's ears, making her stop in her escape. The noise was so deafening to her. Undine looked at her bracelet, the source of the loud beeping. She hissed at the bracelet as if it might scare the beeping noise away.
♒ Undine swam backwards, the loud beeping noise went away. The mermaid glared at the bracelet, her anger only growing. She punched at her bracelet with her other hand, a ticking noise began to start. She widened her eyes. It sounded like a bomb ticking down. She let out a grunt as the ticking noise faded away. So she couldn't tamper with it to get it off either. Of course her master would've thought of ways to prevent her escape. Undine turned back and swam toward the restaurant.
♒ She surfaced and lifted herself onto the dock that led up to the restaurant. She pulled on her tan dress and stormed into the entrance. She walked right by the host and she raised her trident as she stormed over to the table where Nanashi sat. She aimed the three prongs at him, her anger obvious. "I demand you to take off this annoying bracelet. I will not be tied down like a freaking slave. So. Take it off or I'll die fighting against your crew." said Undine angrily. She ignored the fact that there was other people in the room along with a yonkou.

Nanashi simply sat and waited, quietly contemplating. That was, until Undine barged in to the restaurant, demanding her bracelet be removed. Nanashi stood up, staring into her eyes with his one visible glowing red eye. In his deep, slightly raspy monotone voice, he spoke, his body not moving at all. "No, I don't think you quite understand your situation. I could easily release you, but you would most likely end up captured again, and you wouldn't be so lucky as to be saved from slavery a second time. So you have my apologies, but I won't be removing it. And don't think you could intimidate me by threatening to fight the crew. They won't raise a hand against you without my word, and won't do more than restrain you. Nor will your act of threatening me with your weapon intimidate me. I've faced down foes with weapons far more threatening, and come out unscathed. Now, lower your weapon, calm yourself, and join us for our meal." He said indignantly, his eye never straying from her left eye for even a fraction of a millisecond. Completely ignoring the presence of anyone else in the building, he raised the heat of his body just enough to flicker the air around him, giving a powerful impression.

Lao Hu had been content to simply continue his meal in peace and not cause problems. It wasn't as if he had anything against the Yonkou anyway. He was wary, in case the other Yonkou started something, but on the whole he didn't really have much of a problem with the Yonkou being here. It was just lunch. That was all. But then things happened. A loud voice spoke out and Lao Hu couldn't help but turn his attention to a blue-haired Mermaid who jumped into the room, a beeping strap around her wrist as she started complaining about being kept as a slave. Lao Hu's eyes narrowed, his body tensing as he looked at the man. But it wasn't just any mermaid this man had taken onto his crew, Lao Hu realized. No, recognizing the blue hair and the golden horns made him realize just who it was.
"Ceto..." he whispered, only for his visible eye to sharpen as he nearly growled. What was the Mermaid Princess doing on this Yonkou's crew? What was he doing with her, putting a band on her wrist? Had this Yonkou truly taken the Mermaid Princess as a slave? He clenched his fists. He was going to get some answers. Pushing his chair back, the Fishman stood up to full height, his eye staring down towards the Yonkou in a look akin to animosity. The ordinary civilians shuffled nervously, suddenly feeling the room going tense. Lao Hu hadn't even bothered listening to the Yonkou as he spoke to the Mermaid Princess - he only had one thing on his mind. Stepping forwards, now the only thing between Lao Hu and the other Yonkou was the Mermaid Princess herself.
"What," he spoke, his tone containing a barely restrained anger. "Do you think you're doing, taking a Mermaid as your personal slave?". The civilians in the room did their best to move away as slowly as possible, not wanting to draw the wrath of any of the men in this room upon them. The Fishman stared down the group, but particularly the masked man who called himself a Yonkou. This wasn't just a matter of being against slavery - that was certainly part of it, but not all. Once, he'd been a member of the Royal Guard of Ryugu-jo. He'd been this child's guardian when she was just five years old. He didn't expect her to remember him, but the small pride he had left for that position made him react to the scene before him with anger.
It was a wonder he hadn't just swung his own table at the entire group.

I've faced down foes with weapons far more threatening, and come out unscathed. Now, lower your weapon, calm yourself, and join us for our meal."
♒ The mermaid gritted her teeth. "I won't get captured again. It won't happen again. There are many things about me that you don't know. I can do more than you think." said Undine, anger still present in her voice. Nanashi probably didn't know that she was the lost mermaid princess or that she has the ability to call on sea kings. All Undine knew that she wasn't happy with where she was. Not like this. Bound and tied. At this rate, she felt like she was never going to be free.
♒ Then Undine felt someone rise to his feet near her. "What," Undine briefly glanced in the direction of the voice. A fishmen. She tensed up even more, her weapon lowering slowly. Did he recognize Undine? She sure hope not. She had been running away and hiding from the fishmen island to protect it. So the enemies wouldn't try to find her there and destroy the one thing she love. "Do you think you're doing, taking a Mermaid as your personal slave?" asked the fishmen.
♒ Oh crap. Crap. Crap. Undine was still tense. She couldn't have Nanashi find out just how much more valuable she really is. "E-ermm.. It's okay! Really! I don't mind being a slave!" blurted Undine. Honestly, she was surprised at herself for saying those words outloud even though it was a lie. She lowered her weapon more and did her best to put on a smile. She slowly and awkwardly sat down. As if she wasn't used to chairs. After all, she mostly ate sea plants in the ocean. Undine slowly realized that the fishmen is indeed a yonkou. It would make sense why he was angered about having a mermaid being a slave.
♒ But Undine still hoped to dear Poseidon that he would not recognize her. She put on her biggest fake smile. "See! I'm happy as a clam!"

Nanashi sat, slightly annoyed, and simply stared at Undine, his one visible eye not blinking at all. He scoffed audibly, before continuing to speak. "Will you please just listen to me for once. I am trying to protect you, and yet you want to do everything you can to make it hard for me. Lesser men than I would have already gotten tired of it, and either forced their will upon you, or sold you off, or worse. You should truly be thankful that I am willing to put up with it all to protect you from becoming the 'toy' of some twisted noble." He spoke very plainly, almost apathetically so, though concern did show through his voice.
However, what happened next was absolutely the worst possible outcome. The other Yonkou, Lao Hu Long, had approached him, angered by Undine's presence, though severely misunderstanding the situation. "Merda." He cursed under his breath. As Lao Hu drew nearer, Nanashi's men began to rise from their seats, only for Nanashi to rise and lift his weapon, signalling them to remain seated.
"And if I was, what business would it be yours, Sharktooth? I have payed the monetary price for her, and I have saved her from a live of servitude and worse at the hands of the nobility. I have given her shelter, protection, food, and purpose. I have even had my ship modified to perfectly accommodate her, despite being a ship of the skies. I have done nothing to go against her will, except for the fact that I have refused to let her go free, for the purpose of preventing her from being abducted again. I have not once kept a person, regardless of race or origin, as a slave, nor do I have any intent. The girl has become a valued member of my crew, and I would prefer that you do not interfere in matters that do not concern yourself. If you wish to challenge me, you are free to do so, but do not plan to leave unscathed."
Nanashi spoke very directly, his words echoing his power and authority despite their lack of emotion. His red eye glowed intensely, as if it were a gate into the very fires of hell, and his grip on his still raised weapon remained tight, his arm not budging an inch despite the obvious weight of the weapon. Now, he simply awaited the response from Lao Hu, which he anticipated to be quite negative.

The Mermaid was quick to respond first, claiming to be perfectly alright with her situation. He was inclined to believe otherwise, given the argument she'd been having not five seconds ago with the Yonkou. Even as he listened to her, Lao Hu looked back to the masked Yonkou, his brows furrowed in concentration. Did he know who she was? Or did he just think he'd buy himself a Mermaid for kicks? Either way, he decided to play it safe and assume he didn't. After all, if he really didn't know who she was, then revealing her true identity would lead to problems. Namely, it meant he could take advantage of Fishman Island. As Fishman Island's protector, he refused to allow that. Keeping his eyes on the Masked Yonkou as he spoke of how he had bought the Mermaid, Lao Hu scoffed.
"I doubt you're doing it 'for her protection'. Do you take me for a fool?" Lao Hu asked, his eyes moving across the table as he caught sight of each and every one of the Masked Yonkou's men, all ready to fight if need be. He wasn't intimidated. "I've devoted my life to combating the Slave Trade and the World Government that runs it. Do you expect me to trust that you're doing the right thing here? If you really planned on keeping her safe, you'd have brought her home. Before I sink this ship and everyone on it, I dare you to try and convince me you're doing the right thing," he spoke, nearly spitting. He didn't have much more patience. This man may have considered himself a savior, but all he was really doing was stripping her of freedom and a home.
One of his hands clenched into a fist. If he did have to resort to fighting, he'd knock down all of the Masked Yonkou's men with a Karakusamaigawara Seiken, sink the ship and take the Mermaid home. He couldn't stomach the idea of simply letting him keep this girl in captivity. Food? Shelter? A Purpose? All he was providing was a prison. Lao Hu had no reason to believe he was in any way caring about the young Mermaid's needs.

Nanashi lowered his weapon. While it would seem like a show of reduced hostility, it was far from it, as this put him in a better position to strike at a moment's notice. "One should not speak when one does not know all of the details. If, at any time, she would have asked for me to return her to her home, I would have done so without hesitation. But, as she has not, I have done nothing of the like. However, she has asked to be released into the ocean, which I shall not permit, for the chance of her being captured again this far from Fishman Island is far too high. Furthermore, she is not a slave. She is a companion, and, in my eyes, a friend. You, however, are not a friend, nor an ally, and I would have your silence in this matter. Otherwise, I fear for the consequences of your actions." He tightened his grip, as his eye examined every inch of Lao, scanning for a weak point.
In a possibly violent situation with another Yonkou, especially one of unknown strength, Nanashi knew he could never be too careful. He stood his ground, unflinching, as he began to speak again. "So, I shall warn you once more, and only once more. Return to your business as you were, and leave me to mine. We both oppose the World Government, and we both oppose slavery, so we should not oppose one another. I am more than willing to offer even an alliance. However, I shall not release the girl to the wilds to be captured again, so that shall not be considered by any means. Keep this well in mind." He spoke, attempting to make peace without compromising his authority in the situation.

The sight of two Yonkou arguing was a great and terrible sight to behold. At any minute things could turn violent and the seas could be stained with blood. These two people possessed power that made the hearts of ordinary men and women tremble. But the people around didn't move a muscle as these two figures conversed. Or rather, they couldn't - the fear of drawing even one of these two monsters' attention towards themselves forbade them from moving, but they were also in terrific awe. It was like watching a cannonball flying towards you in slow motion - you couldn't avoid it. There was just the anticipation as you watched the cannonball smash into your face. But in this case, there were no sudden movements.
"... You may have your alliance. At the very least, your acts against the World Government lend... Weight to your claims," the Fishman spoke. He never let his eyes leave the fellow Emperor. Much as he wanted to deny it, this man spoke truth - his acts definitely did not paint him as a slaver so much as an enemy of it and the World Government, much like himself. And an alliance was not necessarily a bad thing, in this case. By forging an alliance, he could keep a better eye on this Emperor and make sure whether or not he was true to his word. And of course, the idea of two Yonkou in alliance was enough to strike fear into the World Government. Maintaining an alliance with this Yonkou worked to Lao Hu's advantage. Of course, he still had something to say.
"Know this, however," the Fishman remarked as he turned back to his meal, slowly striding over and sitting his large and imposing figure down. "I am not a merciful man. Should I find you not to be a man of your word, you may rest assured that there is not a corner of these oceans where you may find safety. I do not tolerate betrayal. I pray that you don't, either".

Well. More like debating over Undine. The fishmen wouldn't believe what Nanashi true intentions were. Undine knew what his intentions for her in the back of her mind. She just didn't like being tied onto a leash or in this case, her beeping possible explosive bracelet on her wrist. The mermaid was not happy about this at all. She was actually enjoying being a "member" on his crew, she just wanted the fuggin' bracelet gone.
♒ The mermaid sat silently as the two men debated further. Undine was still hoping that the fishmen wouldn't let out that she was the lost mermaid princess. Especially the rumor about that princes with the power to call out to sea creatures. An ability powerful enough to almost control all of the seas. The blue haired female tugged on her hood to cover her golden horned ears and quietly eat the meal that was in front of her.
♒ Finally the two came to an agreement. Even an alliance between the two. Undine glanced at Lao, hoping to dear Poseidon that he still would not slip the bit about her while they were both in an alliance. Undine couldn't place her finger on why this fishmen looked familiar. Then it hit her. He was her personal bodyguard when she was young. When she was still living on fishmen island. Oh crap. Perhaps she should somehow talk to the fishmen alone and out of Nanashi's range of hearing?
♒ Once Undine realized who this man was, she quickly looked down. She was only five when this man took on the role of protecting her. There was no way to recognize her as an adult now right? Unless he caught the sight of her ears, those were a dead giveaways. Undine continued to eat the random meal in front of her in silence, trying not to draw attention to herself.
