Ah, the sea of beginnings.
Minoru was taking a stroll down a street in the historical city. It was indeed a sea of beginnings, as this was the sea where the former pirate king Gol D. Roger was born, and, sadly, executed. In a way, though, it wasn't sad. It created a new age of pirates, all in search of One Piece.
Minoru, on the other hand, was not becoming a pirate to find One Piece and become the pirate king- though that would be nice, it was not his goal. Minoru simply wanted to create a name for himself that would be feared by pirates and Marines worldwide. He wanted to kill as many Marines as possible. He wanted revenge.
The city of Loguetown still knew Minoru as 'the Vice Admiral's son'. He had not yet shown the town his new occupation. His resignation, or, deserting of the Navy had not yet been noticed. He had only been using the Marines for the past few years for training- and now he believed he was ready to become a strong pirate captain.
Minoru suspected that in a couple days some of the Marines would notice his disappearance, that was if he didn't announce it himself. That was the main reason he was in the city at the moment. To announce to the world that a new and strong pirate had arrived. That he was no longer a Marine trainee.
He had also come to the city to find some crew members, as Loguetown was the city of beginnings there were many rookie pirates looking for crews to join, and here was one rookie captain in search of a crew. Minoru would not just take any random pirate, though. They had to prove their worth to him. He wasn't in search of some coward and horrible fighter pirate. He wanted one that was strong, and was ready to fight.
Minoru wasn't your everyday captain, though. He has a spoiled attitude and wanted the best and only the best. He is a really judgemental person, so if you don't look strong he probably wouldn't ask you to join. Unless you'd prove yourself to him through a fight, people that look weak wouldn't make his crew.
He also doesn't dress like a regular pirate would. No bandanas, no golden teeth, no eye patches. Minoru is a very fancy pirate. At the moment he was strolling through the streets wearing a black suit jacket with the middle button done up and black pants. He had his dagger concealed in his jacket, and his katana in it's black sheath dangling by his side.
Captain Minoru really didn't where or how to get started with this recruitment deal. The only thing he could think of was going on top of the execution platform and yelling out to everybody. That probably wasn't very strategic, seeing as the people would be shocked and then he'd probably get arrested. But he had to start somewhere, right?
When Minoru finally arrived at the Execution Platform, it seemed there was a ruckus of some kind. A bunch of people were gathered in a circle around something- and from the grunts Minoru strangely expected it was a fight. Politely asking people to move, Minoru made his way to the front of the circle, and could see clearly what was happening.
There were a couple Marines, about five? And equally the same amount of pirates there. They were engaged in a fight, in which the Marines seemed to have the upper hand. Now, that wasn't right, was it? Minoru couldn't just let the Marines win.
Minoru entered the fight, pulling out his dagger, which would be more than enough to take care of the weaklings. Just to make a show, Minoru pretended to help the Marines fight the pirates. Some of the Marines even greeted Minoru, with wide grins on their faces. Minoru had met hundreds of Marines before, so he really couldn't care less about who they were. "Can I lend a hand?" Minoru asked.
They all nodded eagerly. The pirates seemed to be annoyed by the sudden entrance of another guy, and they all attacked him at once. None of them were obviously important on whatever crap ship they came from. They were probably just extremely low ranked swabbies.
"Minoru! We'll help!" one of the Marines said happily. They obviously thought that they were an important part of this fight. Ugh, all Marines are the same, they all think they're strong, he thought to himself, but said aloud:"Don't worry guys, these are just small fry." After saying that, Minoru started fighting the pirates.
The first one that attacked him had a scythe, a long curved blade. Minoru easily parried his attacked and stabbed him in his thigh with his dagger. The next one that attacked lunged at him with a regular sword, but Minoru easily dodged his attack and kicked him onto his comrade on the floor. All of these guys were nothing but small fry, not giving Minoru any fun.
When Minoru was done with those few pirates, the Marines and the crowd stared amazed at him- they had obviously never seen a real pirate fight before. The were hundreds of pirates that could beat Minoru up with one finger, and they were amazed at this? Idiots. Minoru couldn't look forward to his time away from these idiots.
"G-great job Minoru! Sh-shall we take you back to the Headquarters now?" they stammered. Now was the time for Minoru's announcement and rebellion. He had had enough of Marines, and was about ready to kill them. "Don't worry about that, guys. I've got something a little more fun in mind." Minoru drew his golden sword and put back his dagger. Not like he needed his sword for them, but he wanted to show the crowd his power.
Minoru lunged forward at them and slashed sideways. He put his katana back in its sheath as the weaklings crumpled on the ground. From the silence, he could tell the crowd was shocked at his sudden rebellion.
"Listen everyone! I am no longer a Marine! I am a pirate! My one purpose is to rule the seas and kill any Marine that steps in my way. It's my destiny! Spread the word, and if there are any pirates out there that would like to join my crew, come forward now and prove your worth!" After he finished screaming that at the top of his lungs, he sat down and crossed his legs in await of any pirate or pirates that would come. Because surely, at least one rookie had to have heard him.
Loguetown would be the city in which his pirate life began.
