APPEARANCEImage Link: KIVA
Height: 6’0
Weight: 160 lbs
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: An unnatural electric blue
Attire: Kiva has a habit of dressing formally for no adequately explained reason. Whenever he’s on the ship he is dressed in a full suit and tie. The suit is well tailored and more than likely expensive. The pants and jacket are either black or a very dark gray depending on the light. He keeps the jacket buttoned up at all times. Underneath the jacket is always a white button down shirt and a black tie. He keeps Kitakaze belted on his side, just in case he needs to use it. The weird part is that he never wears this outfit OFF of the ship. Instead, he wears an entirely different outfit.
When he steps off of the ship, he dresses a lot more casually. He wears a red muscle shirt with his jolly rodger on the chest and a pair of fitted black denim jeans. Over top of this wears black and gray jacket that extends down to the top of his knees. While Kiva’s jacket MAY look like normal material it is actually a thin, armored leather (think Kevlar). If Kiva is training, he’ll usually throw this off. He wears a silver ring on the first two digits of both hands, as well as the last digit of his left. Teppomizu is belted and sheathed on his waist underneath his coat, while Kitakaze and Tatsumaki are carried on his the back of his jacket in this outfit, with the hilts facing opposite directions. That way, if he needs to ditch his coat in the middle of a fight he doesn’t have to contend with his sheaths. The swords are positioned strategically so that he can get them quickly. Teppomizu is positioned on his right hip so that it can easily be drawn for iaijutsu. Likewise, Kitakaze is behind his right shoulder and Tatsumaki his left so that he can easily draw them in the opposite hands.
Abnormalities: Kiva has a large scar going horizontally across his eye sockets where the original were damaged. Likewise, he has electric blue fake eyes instead of his original green eyes. BACKGROUND Kiva was the son of the pirate captain Anastasia. Conceived after a drunken night while on an island, Anastasia knew that she couldn’t take care of a baby while she was a pirate. And even though it broke her heart, she knew she had to leave him with her sister in Loguetown. She told her sister that she would come back for him in a few years when he was older. And since his eight year old sister Natalia was already staying with her, Anastasia figured it was for the best.
Kiva always knew that his mother would come back for him. He just kind of figured it, and his Aunt Anya passed on the message to him when he was old enough to understand it. And so, Kiva decided that he needed to prepare. So five years to the day after he was left in Loguetown, he began to badger a next-door neighbor to train him. The neighbor was an old master swordsman, who had to retire after he lost an arm. The master didn’t warm up to Kiva at first. He thought Kiva was too young and, to some degree, too annoying. But after two months, he finally gave in.
Kiva quickly proved that he was one of the master’s best students. Kiva said that he could pick up a sword and know it inside and out. When Anastasia returned two years later for his sister, she told him that she was very impressed. Kiva asked if he could go with them, so told him that he was still too young. However, before Anastasia and Natalia left, she bought him his first sword, a simple katana he named Kitakaze.
Kiva’s life was pretty uneventful for the next several years. He trained and trained his little ass off trying to master a sword. He quickly mastered single sword combat, and began to teach himself how to use a sword in his right hand.
By the time Anastasia came back on his fifteenth birthday, he had master Nitoryu. When Kiva told his master that he was leaving in the morning, his master smiled. Master-san told Kiva the story of his glory days. As it turned out, twenty or thirty years ago his Master sailed the seas as an Admiral in the Marines until his injuries left him unable to fight anymore. By teaching Kiva, Master-san got to relive his glory days. As a parting gift for his young student, he gave Kiva his trusty sword Tatsumaki. And with that, Kiva sailed off.
Kiva sailed with his mother and sister for two years. During that time, the three bonded immensely, and Kiva and Natalia were inseparable. However, one day things changed. Anastasia’s crew found an incredible treasure. They found an island with five chests worth of gold, jewels, and many other valuable things. Many people would think that that was so valuable it was worth killing for. In fact, that’s what happened.
Kiva was up late practicing using Tatsumaki when he heard a loud bang. As he ran downstairs, to his horror he saw Natalia standing over his mother with a smoking flintlock in one hand and a treasure chest tucked under the arm. Kiva couldn’t believe that his sister had betrayed him, but in that moment, he no longer cared. The two immediately clashed in the room, blade to blade. The commotion didn’t go unheard. The fighting woke up the crew’s first mate. He burst into try and break up the fight, but he was too late. One stray slash from her rapier managed to cut through both of Kiva’s eyes. As the first mate dragged Kiva to the ship’s doctor, Natalia managed to steal one of the ship’s lifeboats and four of the treasure chests, not realizing there was a fifth. As Kiva sat in the medical bay, he cried his destroyed eyes out. Within the space of a few minutes, his entire life had been thrown upside down and turned inside out. But, there was one bit of luck. As it turned out, the crew’s shipwright had been working on a pair of cybernetic eyes to replace his own. The ship’s doctor replaced his eyes, and tried to console Kiva on everything that happened. The crew’s newly appointed captain was more than willing to let Kiva stay on board, but he decided not to. Kiva declared that it was time for him to strike out on his own. In the back of his mind, Kiva new he had to find Natalia and finish what she started, but that’s not what he most wanted to do. No, he wanted to keep sailing in his mother’s legacy. The captain respected this, giving Kiva the other lifeboat, a map to the nearest island, several days of rations, and the forgotten chest. As Kiva sailed off, he opened the chest. But instead of finding (much) money, he found a strange fruit. Kiva figured that the island was another day off and rations were running low, so why not eat the fruit right? Well, he caught onto the fact that it was a Devil Fruit with remarkable accuracy – the obvious nature of his newfound powers helping this along of course. As time went on, Kiva got better with his powers. Eventually he met a man named Nanashi during a bar fight. After talking to him, Kiva joined up with Nanashi’s crew, where he eventually became the first mate.

KIVA DELMONICA
ABILITIES AND INVENTORY INVENTORYWeapons
- Kitakaze: Literally North Wind, Kitakaze is Kiva’s first sword. It is a standard length steel daito with a green hilt wrapping, and a circular crossguard with four spikes coming out of it. Kitakaze is not a magic blade, nor does it have any special augmentations. However, Kitakaze knows it like the back of his hand and exactly what it’s best used for. Specifically, it is great at fast strikes and stabs. Kiva uses it in his left hand.
- Tatsumaki: Literally Tornado, Tatsumaki was given to him by his master. It is a red bladed daito with a matching wrapping. The crossguard is a gunmetal octagon with the swords name etched into it (in kanji). Kiva’s main use for it is when he needs to hit something hard. Kiva uses Tatsukami with his right arm because its stronger than his left.
- Teppomizu: Literally Flash Flood, Teppomizu is Kiva’s newest sword. As such, he doesn’t know it that well. It is an ordinary ninjato with a sea blue wrapping and a tear drop shaped crossguard. As this sword is shorter and lighter than the others, he doesn’t use it on its own often. Usually he pairs it with Tatsumaki as an offhand weapon or in tandem with both of the others. Kiva does find that it works great with iaijutsu though.
Non-weapons
- Cigarettes
- His rings
- Natalia’s scarf
- A playbook of tactics
ABILITIES- Master Swordsman: Kiva has been training as a swords man for almost a decade. He is easily able to use Nitoryu and Santoryu.
- Detailed Knowledge Of Swords: Kiva knows just from holding and experimenting with a sword exactly what the sword is best used for. This seems to be based mostly on instinct, as he has little to no knowledge of smithing.
- Navigation: While certainly not the best navigator around, he knows how to steer the ship if necessary.
- Tracking: Kiva taught himself how to hunt at a young age in order to help his aunt put food on the table. This experience has led to him learning how to track people through practice.
- Strategy and Tactics: Kiva has learned (read: stolen) a large portion of battle tactics for crews and individual fighters. Whenever he’s left in charge of the crew, he will pull this out.

A couple of things to fix before this can be approved:- Your OOC code is still broken. Please fix it.
- Please replace the HELL MASK beside the HUMAN with PIRATE.
- Since he has Cybernetic Eyes, he should be listed as a Cyborg, not a Human. Please change it.
- Since he's a Cyborg, he can only start with four abilities or racial features. Please adjust accordingly.
- Please fix the spacing in the latter half of your history so that it'll be easier for people to read.
