Born eighteen years ago on, Karate Isle, Kobushi was born to a man who was considered a master of martial arts. Known for the ability to use Gunshot Arts. A style which refers to artillery from fast and powerful striking power from such weapons. Kobushi being his son naturally, was the heir to the Gunshot Arts. He would lead forth to handling the harsh training the style gave and gained the ability to use the style effectively at age ten, when a bandit attacked his mother during him trying to steal her belongings.
Being the heir to the style, his father had a saying that his father told him. If you become part of a battle whether you start it or not, give it your all and have no regrets. This would become his motto towards fighting ever since.
At age thirteen, Kobushi would begin to fight as a way to not only earn money but also strengthen his fighting skills. Wanting to learn more, and to gain more experience in his style of fighting to boost his ability as a hand-to-hand combatant. He was known for being maniacal and brutal during battles; he went through trials of various martial arts around the island. At age fourteen, he would gain the nickname of 'Knuckles'. Thanks to his love for fighting, and his violent streak.
At age fifteen a group of pirates (20) would come on the island in order to gain items to help their quest. Raiding the stores of someone who had no martial skills in combat. Luckily, Kobushi was running errands for his mother, catching the crew in the act. He was able to beat the entire crew, except for the second mate and captain as he was exhausted and had been injured. His father using his own strength, easily destroyed the pirates; Knuckles was impressed with his father's power.
He would ask for his father, to give him his kind of training. With which he would agree, but only if he was ready to die.
Two years had passed, the harsh training gaining results of an improved ability to attack with his signature technique, he was much stronger physically and mentally of which he showed greater confidence. He also gained a few scars on his eyebrow, his chest and his fists due to the power of the training. The abilities he gained, had overpowered many of the students and training combatants on the island. He wanted more, to experience the essence of true battle.
So he made the decision, setting forth into the sea. He would sneak out of the house while his parents were sleeping, however... His father would be waiting outside, after hearing the noises and the voices from his room. A battle would ensue, seeing how far his son had come over the years. After a fierce combat, his father would understand him, after talking about why he wanted to leave so badly. "To find the truest meaning of battle", was all he said, before walking away.

Not one to skip out on being in fun times. He is someone that likes to enjoy himself; his brawling habit is one of the key ingredients of his enjoyment. He loves to party even with enemies, and is someone who doesn't "sweat the small stuff". - Courageous/Foolishness?
He is someone that doesn't back-down, keeping a smile on his face throughout entire situations that become him. Even when people think its suicide to do something, he always transcend the shortcomings that people provide for him. He loves them actually. - Open-Minded

He was never able to pay much attention. Allowing things to go into one ear and out the other. He usually has to be held down or have something interesting in a conversation to actually listen. Otherwise he does his own thing, and doesn't listen to planning or reason. - Brutal
When he fights, he is a person who is more bent on causing the total destruction of his opponent. He attacks harshly, not allowing for much in the face of opportunity.He will break spines, tear through walls, and destroy whatever is in his path. If you do something, to him or his comrades, expect that you won't get off with just a warning. He will punish you to a similar extent of which you tried to give him, it is usually on the same as done to him or the others.
