dea usually wears a long white and blue maid-styled dress with a plate-shaped maid cap atop her head. the dress itself is a dark, navy blue color while over it she wears a long white apron with dark blue seems. the apron is tied into a bow around her back. around her neck she wears a purple bow. as footwear she wears a pair of black heels and a pair of thigh-high white socks. under her dress, though, she wears a pair of dark blue short-shorts and a white bikini top, so when she gets into a fight she just steps out of her dress so that it doesn't get in the way and/or ruined. she also has a holster on each leg that are easily accessible by two "invisible" slits in her dress.

• DOWN TO EARTH; dea is a very down to earth girl. she doesn't have many, if not zero, daydreams or fantasies and you'll hardly ever catch her head up in the clouds. to her, daydreams and fantasies are a waste of perfectly good time that people can spend doing productive things, like actually trying to achive those daydreams of theirs'.
  
  
• PATIENT; unlike many others, dea does have a level of patience that she gained as a child and teen. if she has to wait before doing something than she will and she wont complain about it or anything.
  
  
• PUNCTUAL; she is almost never late, whether it be to a shichibukai meeting or breakfast with her crew. only the most dire of matters will cause her to be late.
  
  
• INTELLIGENT; more in the book smart area, though. she can easily retain the things she learn before spitting them back up again to tell others. this is mainly from the fact that she reads a lot of books in her spare time, ranging from fiction to history.
  
  
• RATIONAL; this ties in with how down to earth she is, but this is more in a fighting sense. she isn't going to lose her composer in a fight or rush into things headfirst without any knowledge of just what she's running into.
  
  
• ORGANIZED; everything she owns is organized to the point of her crew knowing where everything is like the backs of their hand even if they've only spent an hour on board her ship. really, with how organized everything is you'd think that she was ocd, which she really isn't. she just likes having her ship organized.

• VIOLENT; when angry or extremely embarrassed, dea can get particularly violent. if she's around her crew when this happens, she'll contain it to a slap to the head or maybe a punch or kick, but if she's around enemies than she goes full out and looses any mercy that she might've had for them.
  
  
• RESERVED; she keeps her emotions, her thoughts, and her past to herself. not even her crew will know what she's thinking or how she's feeling no matter how hard they try because dea hides it all behind a mask that has been carefully pieced together through the years. because of this her crew jokes about her never falling in love and never finding "the one".
  
  
• PESSIMISTIC; she views the glass half empty and doesn't really believe in the bright side of life. to her, there's never a bright side and that the worse will always happen.
  
  
• DEPENDENT; growing up how she did, dea has come to be a very dependent person. she needs to have someone with her to lean on, even if she refuses to acknowledge this and there's nothing she fears more than being alone. this is the main reason as to why she is so protective of her crew and as to why they are such a close knit one.
  
  
• PERFECTIONIST; its not as bad as it could be, but to dea the things she does has to be perfect otherwise she'll be really unhappy with it. she manages to keep this confined to herself and the things she does, instead of what others do otherwise she probably wouldn't have a crew.

( HISTORY )

dea was born into a very well off family, coming from a long line of tenryuubito, more commonly known as celestial dragons or world nobles. despite growing up in such an environment where she had slaves to call for her every beck and need, dea wanted freedom more than anything in the world. she hated her family and everything that came with being a world noble to the point that she always attempted to run away, no matter how many times she was caught and brought back to her disapproving family. she'd spend more time with the slaves, listening with rapt attention to their stories that she would order them to tell her.

she did this for years, until she was about ten years old and then her parents got completely fed up with her attempts to run away. they didn't want an unruly daughter and so they did the thing that only someone as cruel as a world noble would do; they locked dea up in the highest point of their home, a tower that was usually only used for storage and the place where their slaves lived. at first, dea screamed and wailed to be let out but no one would ever listened and so she eventually quieted down to the point where she would no longer speak. this silence from her lasted until she was thirteen, when her family bought a new slave that they assigned to be her "caretaker" of sorts. the slave was a thirty-seven year old mermaid, who went by the name of maria.

at first, dea and maria clashed, the mermaid wanting dea to stop moping around because of her situation while the noble wanting maria to just leave her alone, but they eventually came to a truce. maria would tell dea of the the world outside of the nobles, while dea would start to speak again and not be such a mopping mess. and as the years passed, the two grew closer and closer until dea started looking up to maria as a mother-type figure, but when dea turned eighteen this all changed.

maria, not wanting dea to spend the rest of her life locked away, stole a devil fruit from dea's parents and gave it to dea, explaining that the devil fruit would most definitely help the eighteen year old escape. trusting the older women's words, dea at the fruit without a second thought, disgusted by how it tasted, but she finished the entire thing. it only took a few minutes for her to figure out its powers, extra limbs blooming all around her easily helping her figure it out.

of course, dea's parents were extremely angry that their devil fruit had been stolen by maria, but they didn't figure out that maria had fed it to their daughter. as punishment, maria was beaten to the brink of death before being downgraded from dea's caretaker to a common maid. that was really the last time that dea ever spoke to the mermaid and two years later, after having gained control of her new powers, dea used them to escape by sprouting limbs from the tower she was in and using them like a ladder to climb down it. and after that it was easy to run away, her parents never suspecting a thing.

at the age of twenty, dea became a pirate, wanting the freedom that it offered. she gathered up a crew of capable men and women and sailed to each of the blues and down the grandline, her bounty growing steadily in numbers until it reached a whooping 396,000,000 beli at the age of twenty-four. at this time, there was an open position in the shichibukai, which the world government wanted filled and fast and so they decided that it would be dea who would fill it. at first, she refused the offer, not wanting to be tied down to the government, but when they threatened to obtain her, destroy her crew, and then force her to be a world noble once more, she caved and accepted the offer.
