~A Little About You~
History: Stark was born in South Blue to a pair of loving parents, raised until the age of 5 as a kind, friendly little child. He loved his life and he loved his parents. He was an innocent child - he never did anything to hurt anyone, at the very least not intentionally, and on the off chance he did he would always apologize for the trouble he caused. From a young age he expressed a deep desire for navigation, studying charts and learning all about geography and the weather.
So when slave traders ran amok, killed his parents and took him in as a slave at age 15, you can understand that he had never in any way done anything to deserve the horrible treatment they brought upon him.
For years he was raised as a fighter and thrown into battles with other slaves for people's amusement, raised as a prize fighter whose only way of living was winning matches. So long as he kept fighting, winning and earning his owners money, he was allowed to stay around. He didn't even try to entertain the thought of what might happen if he didn't win a match. That was an outcome that he would rather not deal with. So for years, Stark was kept locked in a cell at night, fed scraps of food and then put to fight against other slaves during the rest of his time. By the age of 30 he was prized as one of the strongest slaves.
But Stark was sick of it all. He wanted to know what the outside world was like. He wanted to know all about the seas and the mountains and the jungles and the tundras. He wanted to see the deserts and brave storms. He didn't want to be locked up in a cold, damp cell all his life. By age 32, he could no longer restrain himself. Going wild whilst being taken to the ring, he broke away from his captors and ran, muscling his way through every guard who attempted to stop his escape even whilst handcuffed. By some miracle, he had managed to escape along with several other slaves, though the wounds he had sustained from the break out were deep. After managing to hide from his captors, he fell unconscious from blood loss.
When next Stark awoke, he had his wounds patched up by another slave who had once been a doctor as thanks for helping him escape. His cuffs had been broken using hard stones and days of work. For a month the two remained low, Stark slowly recovering as the doctor would sneak about the island and gather food, water and materials for making a simple boat. It wouldn't be much, but they needed to get off the island.
Unfortunately, fate turned against them.
The slave traders, after spending the past month rounding up the slaves that had escaped, cornered the two of them just as Stark had recovered. But without his cuffs, Stark was able to put up a better fight as they attempted to take their hastily-made boat and get to the sea. Unfortunately however, even as they managed to take to the seas, the slave traders managed to shoot and kill the doctor who had helped Stark so much. With his last friend in the world dead, Stark felt very alone in the world. He had no one. His parents were dead, he never had a life. With little else to do, he resorted to fitting in the only way he knew how - joining up with pirates, of course. Having grown distrustful of the Marines who failed to help him while he was a slave, he now acts as a Navigator for pirates. And he's perfectly content, too.

Your Good Side:
- Calm. Very little seems capable of irritating Stark. He tends to simply go with the flow, taking his time with things and never really struggling to deal with the people around him regardless of whether they are ally or enemy.
- Curious. Stark certainly wants to learn more and more about the world and it is this curiosity that made him learn how to read, write and make him want to look at books and see the world as a Pirate. If something is even a little interesting, he will start asking questions to discover what it is for, what it does or what it is.
- Laid-Back. Stark doesn't seem to mind what happens to himself, willing to sit back and relax when he feels like it. He doesn't worry himself to death over little things and prefers to see things as a big picture.
- Kind. Stark is certainly capable of showing kindness, never to be seen bragging or making mean comments but instead being helpful and polite to those he likes, or even those he doesn't know.
- Loyal. Stark would never sell out his friends - When he makes friends, he considers them friends for life and will gladly risk life and limb to protect them. He doesn't ask for anything of these friends other than that they simply continue to be his friends as that is what he enjoys most.
Your Bad Side: Some Bad Traits. Explain as much as you want.
- Childish. Because he never really had a childhood, Stark as a result remains immature despite his age, which often makes him react to the world as a young kid would rather than the man he is.
- Difficult to calm when angered. As calm as Stark is, if something really can anger him, he will be furious. He would almost be an unstoppable juggernaut of pure rage, not willing to calm down until he has beaten the one who has angered him or until he wears himself out.
- Lazy. Due to his love of taking naps and slacking off to have fun, he is also a very lazy person, generally preferring to lie down and rest or playing games than actually doing a job.
- Gullible. As a result of his naivety, he tends to believe all but the most ridiculous of lies, and even then some as he lacks the experience and tact with people to truly understand the difference between lies and truth.
- Reckless. Stark also doesn't seem to know the meaning of the words 'holding back' and as a result will leap into the fray of fighting when needed to without a single thought. This reckless behavior can thus lead to rushed and hasty moves that can be taken advantage of.
What Do You Enjoy?: Some Things You Like. Explain as much as you want.
- Reading. He wants to learn as much as he can about the world!
- Sweets. Who doesn't like them? He has a big sweet tooth.
- Fruits. Especially apples, though any fruit tastes delicious to him. Except bananas - they're herbs.
- Music. Again, who doesn't enjoy good music?
- Games. He likes to have fun and he likes playing with other people!
Grind Your Gears: Some Things that get on your nerves. Explain as much as you want.
- Darkness. After spending so much of his time in a dark cell, he doesn't want anything to do with it anymore.
- Loneliness. With no one to speak with for years, he now desperately clings to the friends he has.
- Cats. One used to steal food from him while he was in a cell. 'Nuff said.
- Vegetables. They taste horrible, or so he says.
- Cold Days. He's always preferred the heat after spending so many nights freezing in a small bed.
What Do You Carry With You?:
- A pair of gold and silver gauntlets worn on his forearms and hands, durable and strong to deflect enemy weapons such as swords.
-
- Compass.
- Log Pose.
What Drives You?: To discover the world!
