Alright, seeing as, in the canon, this fruit is super broken. I have to unbreak it. Right now, only roughly 3 or 4 things can even harm the user. My character's fruit, the Phoenix, B Haki, a surprise Kairoseki attack, or (roughly) Atsu Atsu no mi. And 2 of those 4 are only just not effected (The Phoenix) or can defend (Atsu Atsu) from this fruit.
Due to the above issues, I will be applying an elemental weakness otherwise not stated in the canon. If you still want this, it has an elemental weakness of water, and to further unbreak it, the ice fruit.

Hmm, the Pika Pika which was accepted which is no less strong than the magu magu and it has no real weakness aside from haki etc. Also tbh, the pheonix fruit can regenerate sure, but it has no other advantage against this fruit. Marco hurt Akainu through the use of haki.

The rays can only travel in one direction. And it doesn't have to added "if you don't have haki and attack me, I can burn you" side effect that Magu Magu has.

So the fact that it can move the speed of light and spam lazers at you is not taken into consideration? Moving in a straight line doesn't matter if you can move that fast with an unlimited amount of power from your logia. Even being able to make contact would be deadly since the user could shoot you at the speed of light point blank. Or the fact the hie hie can freeze you instantly upon contact. Or the goro goro zapping you to death if you touch the user >.> Why does the magu get a much larger weakness? The goro goro not to mention can move at an uber speed as well/restart a heart/mantra etc etc. Or the hie hie not only from direct contact but from a massive aoe stand point freeze people a long ways away.
This fruit is no more broken than any of the other logias.
/end rant

Only 2 of those mentioned have been applied for. And they all have elemental weaknesses, except Pika Pika and Yami Yami (which I'm thinking of making opposed to each other because that makes sense.), of course. I am applying said elemental weakness to one of the only Logia without an elemental weakness. Leveling the playing ground. Lighting is trumped by rubber and the tactical use of lightning rods. Smoke is trumped by fire. Sand by water. Flame by water. Ice by fire. Magma otherwise has no elemental weaknesses canon wise. Applying one that makes logical sense evens them out.

fast reply is fast cause I have nothing better to do xD Anywho, first of all the yami cancels out all df's... So that's not any new weakness for the pika pika. Also, fire stalemates ice as does smoke. Making not only the mera mera have no real weakness if the Magu can't damage it, but the hie hie as well if it can damage the magu that easily. And, the suna can just as easily absorb moisture taking away the weakness. Where as if you're making water also a weakness of the magu, there is no way to counter it if magma cannot evaporate the moisture. (which it can). Not to mention you are adding the hie hie as ANOTHER weakness to the magu.

You and I have vastly different meanings of the word "weakness" when it comes to Devil Fruits. I use it as a cancel out/nullify effect. I suppose telling you that would have been easier. As I will not ever allow for a water logia, because that goes against the main weakness of DF, which is the inability to swim. Ice is the only other element that could nullify magma. But anyway.
As shown in the canon, Akainu was able to punch through Ace, showing Magu Magu's elemental priority over Mera Mera. I'll give you your point on Yami Yami because that's 100% correct.

o3o. Well, I know it doesn't make much sense but you could allow the magu and pika to somehow nullify each other. That way they both have elemental weaknesses. Otherwise the hie hie having an advantage over the magu makes it have no weakness either. If it stalemates or beats the mera mera as well.

While that idea does solve an issue and gave me a good laugh, I think you're looking at it the wrong way. Magma and Ice(by extension water), makes all sorts of cool stuff. Fire and Ice make steam. They cancel each other out. Magma holds power over fire. With this setup, Ice actually has to watch it's back more. It has both magma and fire while magma and fire only have ice.

Hmm, that seems fair to me. Also, why not just allow ice to reflect light in a manner that it can hold power over light? That way Ice has another advantage over being nullified by fire and magma.
Anyway, I'll edit in that ice is a weakness and then it should be all good?

Yes, it looks fine, although for readers sake, include that B Haki protects an attacker from the magma burns, other than that, yes. it's fine. and I'll cross that path when Hie Hie is applied for, thank you for a good idea.
