'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know blue eyes leisurely traveled the length of the restaurant, taking in their surroundings and the other diners in the room. they belonged to one desdemona d. aaricia, more commonly known to the world as black widow desdemona, a shichibukai "serving" the world government or the world government's dog, but that depended on who you were. she could easily tell that the other diners were tense and on their guard with her in the room, but she didn't care. she had heard only good things about this little sea-faring restaurant and, having been in east blue at the time, she decided that she would take a chance and dine here. the rest of her crew were scattered throughout the place, but dea knew that they wouldn't cause too much trouble, especially when she actually expressed that she wanted something.
"ah, mademoiselle, have you decided on what you would like to order?"
blinking, dea turned her attention to a rather dignified-looking waiter, but she could see the nervousness in his eyes. not many decided to visit east blue, which was considered the weakest of all the oceans, especially someone as powerful and well-known as her. deciding to take pity on the young man, dea gently closed her menu and handed it to him.
"i'd like a vanilla crème brûlée along with a slice of the pineapple upside-down cake and a cup of coffee, no sugar or cream."
"as you wish, mademoiselle," the waiter said, bowing once before turning and briskly entering the kitchens.
dea folded her hands in her lap, once again glancing around the baratie and taking note of her scattered crew before returning her eyes to her own table. as the chattering around her turned to a dull murmur, she felt her thoughts wander to a time where she was locked away from the world and where the only company she had was a mermaid by the name of maria.
at the thought of her previous caretaker, dea's lips twitched up into a smile for a split second before she once again resumed with her normal indifferent expression. the women had been exceptionally kind to her, despite being a slave for dea's family, and as the years passed she had eventually become and mother figure towards dea. and if it wasn't for her, dea would probably still be locked away in that tower or even dead, if she decided to just throw herself from the window.
she curled her fingers, her dress being caught in her grip at the thought, but that was the only indication of anger that she showed, and even then no one really caught it. her hands were hidden under the table after all.
she gave her head a subtle shake to get rid of those thoughts, before letting her gaze linger on the door that led outside. maybe someone interesting would walk through, but she highly doubted it.
she was in east blue after all.

Baratie The traveling restaurant on the seas of these calm waters was a renowned hotspot for wary travelers and avid restaurateurs. It is not however, too well known for pirates or many other big name crooks and heroes in the industry because of its location and size. Then again, even some of the most prominent figures in the World Government enjoy a little quiet R&R from the chaos outside.
Admiral Thirteen, sometimes referred to by her alias as Admiral Momohato, is a small and unassuming girl. With a bed of choppy platinum blonde hair and large doe-like eyes, most pin her as a civilian or possibly some deckhand aboard a recreational ship. Especially without her Admiral’s coat, she blends easily in with the crowd, no one even suspecting her relationship with the Marines. It takes an aware eye and a keen database of knowledge to identify her and her seniority within the mega-organization. The girl herself is a mastermind of disguise too—although it really doesn’t take much effort to shed her Admiral’s gear and whip out a journal in languid study. Today was the opportune day to relax and bathe in the sun, because quite honestly, such peaceful tides on the sea are quite atypical.
Thirteen took a small recreational boat that morning, off the Marines base, for a weekend of study. No one but the wheelsman accompanied her on the tiny vessel upon her wishes for a silent and relaxing day at sea, a simple cardigan draped around her shoulders, and her usually long and stick-straight blonde locks turned wispy by the salty ocean air. If she could have her way, the girl would live her entire life like this, out at sea. Her real passion hadn’t ever been upkeeping some crooked code of law: she loved science, and research, and engineering. Rather than keeping weapons on her body, she liked to have a couple blank sheets of paper in her leather-bound journal, and a pocketbook of reference materials. Yes, the oldest Admiral in the fleet was also the softy scholar, obsessed with academia. As she sat on the open deck, dragging her feet through the calm blue waters, her eyes had drifted over to a familiar looking vessel she had seen in popular newspapers around the fleet. It was a peculiar looking institution, one that Thirteen herself had never explored yet. Her eyes studied the large bulky restaurant on the waters, the distant sounds of clinking glass and laughter echoing over the waves. Culinaire had always been an interesting field seldom explored by Thirteen and her brain itched to put something on the page about such an experience. That was all it took for the Admiral herself to tell her helmsman to dock their vessel aboard the famed Baratie as she herself stepped out, long hair blowing against her face in the wind as she smiled, taking in the grandiose view of this famous establishment.
Taking a step into the restaurant, Thirteen was greeted with a draft of fresh air, combined with beautifully complex aromas. Chefs were artists, the girl noted in her mind, realizing what a big chance this was to explore the abstract realm of cooking. Art and other philosophical fields had been a great challenge to her, so perhaps taking the day to jot down some notes in her journal would prove useful. A waiter graciously drifted over to where she stood and offered the girl a seat. Thirteen smiled politely and followed the man, pleased that her identity as the infamous Admiral had not been given away. But there was something off about the atmosphere in the place… as Thirteen tilted her head to look around, people seemed quite uncomfortable as they dined, stealing glances at one another, and then glances at her.
The disguised Admiral swallowed. Oh man. Did they find her out? But as she followed their intimidated gazes, she realized that they were in actuality staring at the woman seated at the table beside her. Thirteen found herself studying the woman then, taking in her silver-nearly white hair, and deep blue eyes and a seemingly nonchalant expression plastered upon her face. The blonde herself came to piece together who she was, her own deep blue eyes staring intently at the beautiful woman beside her.
“Desdemona D. Aaricia.” Thirteen blurted out, loudly enough for the restaurant to hear. The patrons in the room paused, unsettled that the notorious woman had been so thoughtlessly called out in front of the entire establishment. But Thirteen was unconcerned. Those who knew her would say she was a pacifist—never picking fights, especially for meaningless reasons. In fact, the girl actually sympathized and befriended pirates quite readily, to the exasperation of the Marines. Thirteen blinked, realizing she had spoken out loud, when in reality, her mind was just processing and piecing together the puzzle of why the atmosphere in the room was as thick as knives. The Admiral was quite socially inept—and it didn’t seem to concern her that she said the very infamous name quite readily. In other words, she didn’t have a clue.
“Oh I apologize.” Thirteen started up again, eyes blank with oblivion. “That was quite rude of me… I…” Her gaze drifted over to the stunned expressions of the other diners in the restaurant. Her mouth agape, she turned back to the Shichibukai in front of her, not sure of what exactly she had done wrong.
ooc: thirteen is. awkward to say the least lol. but a couple things to note about her: she’s actually quite friendly to pirates, and she cluelessly says inappropriate things. yup <3 also sorry this post was kinda lame. i wrote it while IMing with a friend. hahaa.

East Blue. Home of many pirates but only a hand full of them make it to the top. Not only that but this Blue was his home. The wind blew harshly through some snow white hair of the Freedom Pirates' captain. The man stood on the edge of the his ship, holding his weapon Alligator in both hands, waiting to approach toward the ship of Baratie. The ship grew closer and closer toward the restaurant. The captain of the ship, raised his left hand, causing the ship to come to a complete stop. He placed his massive blade on his back and turned his head slowly towards his crew, barely making eye contact. "I will take it from here. Stay out of trouble." With those words said, the man jumped off the boat and landed safely on the deck without any trouble. The man placed his hands within his pocket and began walking to the opening of the ship. As he made his walk to the opening, his presents on the ship began known.
The man who was no other then Alligator Brooklyn. He had no bussiness upon coming here, he was here just to be here. He grew quiet bored training at Kuraigana Island. So today, he was out to have fun. Brooklyn had finally made it towards Baratie's welcome sign. Upon reaching there, there was a small group of people, staring at him. He could hear them talking under their breathe about his well cut torso and how his description matched a Royal Shichibukai who was the World's Strongest Man. Ignoring what the people, Brooklyn walked past them with a smirk. He paused for a second and waved his hand before speaking. "Let the record show, that I am indeed the person who you fools are talking about. Bye-bye." He didn't hear anything from anyone. It was nothing but complete silents. Boy, Brooklyn would have loved to see their faces but at last, he didn't give a crap.
He walked into Baratie to see a group of women staring at him. They were making flirty smiles and waves towards him. Being a man, Brooklyn waved his hand towards the women but sadly, this wasn't a trip for pleasure. Well...not that pleasure but more of an eating and drinking type of thing. He folded his arms, studying it's appearance and the staff. For this to be a restaurant, it was silent. Well it was before someone shouted out a name that seem quiet familar towards Brooklyn. "Desdemona D. Aaricia?" He repeated the name. Wasn't that a fellow Shichibukai? He followed the woman who spoke of the name. Sure enough, the woman he was following was an Admiral and lead him towards the Shichibukai. "Why hello there ladies."

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know the doors to the restaurant opened and lo and behold, someone interesting did walk in. marine admiral thirteen, known as momohato to the public, the girl's long blonde hair flowing behind her as she walked. dea wasn't fooled by her "innocent" appearance, though, knowing very well what the marine was capable of. she wasn't an admiral just because of her looks.
she watched as a server led the admiral towards her seat, waiting for when she would be noticed by the blonde. despite being a marine, thirteen wasn't all that bad with her pacifist nature and all, but that didn't mean that dea would willingly go along with whatever momohato said. just because she was a shichibukai, didn't mean that she was loyal to the world government.
"desdemona d. aaricia."
"why hello there, miss momohato," dea greeted, turning in her chair to face thirteen. she was internally smirking when the other diners started whispering among themselves at having an admiral in their midst. she had just blown the blonde's cover, not that she really cared. she could do whatever she wanted to. at the woman's apology, she waved a hand in the air as if weaving the words away. "there's nothing to apologize for. i am desdemona d. aaricia after all. you were merely stating the truth."
her eyes flickered past the admiral, instantly catching sight of another prominent figure that had just entered the baratie. she raised a brow at this. two shichibukai and an admiral all in the same place without meaning to be? how exciting, especially at the prospect of this whole meeting ending badly.
"and hello to you as well, mister brooklyn," she said. "what brings the two of you to the baratie?"
she directed the question towards the both of them, her hands once again folded in her lap as she waited for their answers.

That didn't last long. Her projected day of relaxation and study had already been turned into some strange fiasco in the restaurant while the eyes of the nervous patrons darted from the feared Shichibukai in front of them towards the even higher ranked Admiral that had just been unceremoniously exposed by the white-haired woman. The Shichibukai wasted little time on etiquette and refered to Thirteen plainly as "Ms. Momohato." It was something Thirteen hadn't heard anyone say before. She'd been used to Admiral, or Thirteen with a bunch of honorifics tacked haphazardously onto her name. The petite girl wasn't offended however-- it was more of a breath of fresh air than anything.
If a single establishment could break the record for the number of big shots dining within, the Baratie is coming dangerously close, as another presence was detected. Who entered was none other than another Shichibukai, Alligator Brooklyn, someone Thirteen had known based on paper rather than in person. In fact, the bookish Admiral knew all the Shichibukai: she studied their quirks, their allegiances, their powers, and their histories. Needless to say, she was quite impressed with the list of pirates the World Government had managed to collect. Just more people to do their shoddy bidding, she supposed.
"Aaricia-san, Brooklyn-san." Thirteen greeted politely, nodding her head in regard. The restaurant was squirming in their pants, a little more reassured now that a World Government Leader, Admiral Momohato was here in case two Shichibukai attempted some sort of batshit plan to massacre the place. Perhaps it was okay to have some healthy fear and imagination?
Honestly, it wasn't everyday she came face to face with two Shichibukai. The fact that they all convened to this tiny restaurant on the East Blue when there are far more interesting locations on the Grand Line or anywhere else for that matter was quite astounding. Thirteen was fascinated; she wanted to learn more about these two. Their legend, their strength, their reputations-- all had been read about, but never researched personally by the irkish Admiral. She stood up, prompting the diners within to hold their breath in suspense, before settling at the table right in front of the silver-haired woman, intent in engaging in conversation-- even against resistance.
Thirteen had no social etiquette after all. She didn't realize that it was considered rude to seat yourself at the table of another patron, or that the entire restaurant was intently staring at them already. When the blonde lass ordered a cafe au lait, the waiter trembled the entire way towards their table, before plopping it in front of Thirteen and galloping away...
"Fascinating, quite fascinating." Thirteen said, face full of childish intrigue. "There have only been a handful of instances two Shichibukai and an Admiral convened in one exact location; the most recent I recall being 1596 A.O.S at Marineford. Of course, that was planned. I deem our encounter today quite spontaneous." She offered both Alligator and Dea a smile. "Perhaps the reputation of this restaurant has enticed all of us? In which case we must all dine together-- this is a momentous occasion." Thirteen said and offered Brooklyn a seat at the table...

Two Shichibukai and an Admiral in one place? This was quiet a disturbing force at work here. Brooklyn began to wonder how the people must have feeling, being caught in the middle of this? He, himself didn't feel comfortable being here but it was alittle to late to do anything about this shit. Minus well eat and be prepared for the worst to happen. His mind began to wonder away until it was brought back by Dea and her words. "No need for the mister." Brooklyn said frankly then gave a cheerful smile. He turned his attention to the Admiral after she called his name with such respect. Brooklyn never thought a marine, let alone an Admiral would call out an pirate's name with respect. Truely, this was interesting but was now curious what she had to say. She had gained his fullest attention, just with a call of his name.
It would have appeared that this marine was quiet happy for such powerful figures had meet without their meeting being planned. She even wanted to diner together which he didn't have a problem with unless he was paying. He was offered a seat which he kindly took. He placed his elbows on the table and folded his arms together and stared at both the women. "Who would have thought two pirates and one marine would be getting along? I guess that means times are truely changing, eh?" Brooklyn chuckled abit before he turned away from the group. He raised his hand and began waving, hoping to get a waiter's attention, so they could eat already. Just with alittle of luck, a waiter came towards their table but not without a hint of fear. But the waiter must have had some courage if he dare come over here. "Listen up and listen well. I want some steak with some whiskey. What do you want ladies?"

'' take your past and burn it up and let '' it go , c a r r y on i'm s t r o n g e r than you'll ever know dea turned so that she was sitting in her chair in the normal fashion and watched as thirteen seated herself at her table. she didn't comment on it, though, knowing that manners just went over some people's heads.
"this is quite the occasion," dea agreed, watching as brooklyn took a seat across from her. "and yes times must be changing if we three could sit here and have a decent conversation without being at each others' throats."
she watched quietly as the strongest man in the world waved over a waiter before telling him quite gruffly what he wanted. "i've already ordered," she said in an answer to brooklyn's question and the waiter's inquiring, but nervous, look. "i take it that my order should be done soon, though."
"i'll-i'll go check in one moment ma'am," the waiter stuttered.
dea nodded once, before turning her gaze to thirteen and brooklyn. "so, how have you two been doing?" she asked, genuinely curious as she gazed at the two.

Thirteen offered grandly to the waiter. He shuffled off towards the kitchen with such a peculiar expression scratched upon his face Thirteen wondered if she had personally offended him or something. The restaurant seemed to be more on edge now that all three superpowers were seated next to each other, each patron wondering if the delicate peace could snap at any moment.
Dea appeared quite nice, as did Brooklyn. While the restaurant's diners began to regain their sense of calm and return to their own business, Thirteen smiled politely at both guests seated at the table. Pouring herself a cup of coffee, she proceeded to empty two cubes of sugar into the black brew, and stirred it carefully. Bringing the hot liquid to her lips, Thirteen sighed with satisfaction. "Oh yes, Marine research has been keeping me busy." Thirteen said. It was easy to forget that this Admiral was also the Head Scientist of the World Government. In fact, she was a peculiar specimen indeed, preferring to labor over books and mechanics rather than sail the seas as a real seadog would like. "When I do catch a break however, I like to sail the Blues studying the odd marine life around these shores. Today was different though-- I guess I stumbled aboard the Baratie without much realization."
Thirteen sipped at her coffee. That hadn't been too much of an understatement. Normally if she really did desire some time away from the fleet, she'd have to sneak off or get reprimanded by her Fleet Admiral or fellow Admiral. Chartering a boat, getting any sort of sailor to agree to helm the wheelhouse-- these tasks were nightmares in their own. But the end result was worth it. A couple hours of nothing but serene ocean, time to write down reflections in her research journal, and enjoy a quieter time in the very simplest of elements.
"What of you two?" Thirteen looked from Dea to Brooklyn, her eyes twinkling with interest. "The Marines been treating you well?

Two girls of high ranks....This was going to be a problem here. Brooklyn felt like hitting his head over the table over and over until he was blooding and dead. How could he forgot that they were women and on top of that, deadly women of the sea. His eyes wonder to Dea first then Thirteen. Brooklyn placed his face on his chin and looked at the two pretty women and signed. "God. Help me?" He thought to himself before making a slight chuckle at Dea's statement. Could it really be possible for the three of them to get along? Sure, Brooklyn himself comes from a long line of marines and shit, not to mention he was current pops is a marine but they don't even get along. They are always trying to kill each other over something rather stupid, therefore with that idea, this couldn't happen. Well, he would never know until he tried. "Well this is going to be fun, eh?" Brooklyn said, smiling at the two women.
He had done the manly thing and come to find out, both of them had ordered. "This is what happens when you arrive late. Yohoho." Brooklyn had turn to the both of them, waiting for one of them to say something rather interesting and not about there work. Honestly, he could have stayed at the Marine base to listen to one of those idiots talk about how there work changed the work and shit but Thirteen was different, or so he heard. And from what she was telling them, the rumors were right. "Marines are treating me as a pirate, which I am. I don't want anything to change. I don't like the Government, nor do I agree with it." Brooklyn said, folding his arms and giving a smile to Dea with a slight wink, hoping she knew what he was talking about. The Marines don't treat the Royals with any respect but with fear in there hearts. Knowing at any given moment, the Royals could strike and kill them with one finger.
