[classy=infotitle]MARINES.[/classy][classy=infobody]The Marines are the World Government's military sea force. They are present in all the seas around the world, although they maintain only a slight military presence in the four Blues by establishing branch offices. The focus of the bulk of their assets is on the far more dangerous Grand Line, as their main headquarters, Marineford, is located there. The duty of the Marines is to maintain a law and order throughout the world and impose the will and might of the World Government. The main purpose of the Marines remain footed in the idea of bringing justice to any criminal. They use justice as their constituted policy to manage a world that is made entirely of one ocean much easier.

[classy=infotitle]FLEET ADMIRAL.[/classy][classy=infobody]A fleet admiral is the highest position in a marine organization. It is their job to keep the marine organization in order.

[classy=infotitle]ADMIRAL.[/classy][classy=infobody]Admirals are responsible for high military command at battle group or fleet level, and/or for administrative and political duties relating to Marine operations. The Fleet Admiral is their superior. They are the strongest individual fighters within the World Government and the Marines.

[classy=infotitle]VICE ADMIRAL.[/classy][classy=infobody]The Vice Admiral position is the third highest post in the Marines. Their duties are different from those of common Marine commanders. Such as commanding some ships during the Buster Call. Or being the one to receive a Buster Call and command other Vice Admirals to dispatch. While others are usually stationed at the marine headquarters.

[classy=infotitle]REAR ADMIRAL.[/classy][classy=infobody]A Rear Admiral is a marine officer rank above Commodore and below Vice Admiral. It is the first (the lowest) admiral rank.
[/classy]
[classy=infotitle]COMMODORE.[/classy][classy=infobody]Commodore is a marine officer rank above Captain and below Rear Admiral. It is one of the least common positions.
[/classy]
[classy=infotitle]CAPTAIN.[/classy][classy=infobody]A Marine Captain is a rank junior to that of a Commodore. They usually patrol the seas in search of pirates and criminals and bringing them to justice.
[/classy]
[classy=infotitle]COMMANDER.[/classy][classy=infobody]Commander is a Marine officer rank below Captain and above Lieutenant Commander.
[/classy]
[classy=infotitle]LIEUTENANT COMMANDER.[/classy][classy=infobody]Lieutenant Commander is a marine officer rank below Commander and above Lieutenant. From this rank above, marine officers prefer to wear a suit worn underneath their long uniform coat instead of the sailor uniform.
[/classy]
[classy=infotitle]LIEUTENANT.[/classy][classy=infobody]Lieutenant is a marine officer rank below Lieutenant Commander.

[classy=infotitle]CIPHER POL.[/classy][classy=infobody]The various Cipher Pol cells are stationed throughout the world and investigate for the World Government. They supplement the Intelligence Branch of the World Government's Marine forces, but seem to operate more as an counter-insurgency agency that also has more general law enforcement duties. If they encounter pirates, they will apprehend them, but, as an agency, Cipher Pol seems to focus more on political threats to the World Government than more generic criminals. So far, the bulk of the CP agencies seen on the Grand Line are those groups number CP5 and above, which may indicate that CP1 through CP4 are based in the Blues while the higher units are based on the Grand Line. Members of CP1 through CP6 are allowed to start with one Rokushiki ability, which takes an ability slot, while members of CP7, CP8, and CP9 are able to start with two, taking two ability slots.
