A skin tight, black, under armor like shirt covers his torso, and over that he wears a dark gray, long-sleeved jacket that covers half of his torso. The jacket is usually left open and has fluffy black fur around the collar and cuffs. If it's a warm summer day, or he's in a very flirtatious mood, he'll take his under armor off an just wear the jacket. He also wears a teal colored gem used to keep his hair in a ponytail that matches the color of his right eye, a silver tongue ring, and a red chain that runs from his belt buckle to a metal loop on his pant leg. Abnormalities: His canine teeth are longer and more canine-like than human and his tongue is quite a bit longer than normal. His ears are black-furred canine ears attached at the side of his head. Although they are canine ears he still has them pierced with two silver loops along the top cartilage of his left ear. He also has multiple scars on his forearms with one long jagged scar running up his left arm from a failed suicide attempt. BACKGROUND Nike's childhood was fairly normal. He had wonderful parents, an aggravating younger sister, and not a care in the world. Unlike his sister, he didn't have many friends due to his odd ears. His father had explained the reason was because their whole family were special. He'd called themselves Shadetails, a type of night creature that specialized in shapeshifting and illusions. Nike had to promise he wouldn't make it public information though, so to this day he very very rarely ever mentions it. When he was just eight his parents were taken by a tragic house fire. His younger sister ran off afterwards while he was taken to an orphanage. The next few years were a depressing blur that caused many of the current scars on his arms. He was sure his sister was dead by the time he was 15, and the family that had adopted him thought he should just get over his past. The didn't realize how emotionally scarred by his past he was, and a few weeks after his birthday he cut his arm open in an attempt to end his life. It failed when his adopted parents found him bleeding in the tub and after his arm healed up they sent him off to join the Marines. Being in the Marines turned out to be a very good outlet to help him get over most of his depression. He still has bouts of depression, but for the most part he has a fairly relaxed and happy demeanor. For the most part he just pretends to be happy though, day to day he feels empty, and a lot of times he goes overboard with how flamboyant he acts. He doesn't keep much ammo on him due to his preference to use his abilities over his weapons. Hunting Knife :: A hunting knife with a 6-inch blade and leather gripped handle. The blade's main edge is sharp and curved, and on the back edge is a short serrated blade for cutting through bone. Non-weapons Hair brush :: That much hair needs brushed regularly. Sunglasses :: A simple black pair of sunglasses. Hat :: The type of hat varies depending on what he's wearing, though fedoras are a favorite of his. Survival Kit :: A small satchel with basic tools for survival when stranded. A couple days rations, a tinder box, canteen, nylon rope, fishing line with 3 spare hooks, and first aid items are the contents. ABILITIES None RACIAL FEATURES Shadetail's Midnight :: Thanks to his heritage, Nike is able to shift from his usual form into the form of a strange, bipedal canine. He can choose various degrees of shifting, from just a few features, to a full body shift. The full shift is a mixture of human and fox hybrid reminiscent of werewolves in its human aspects yet very different in certain key points. For starters, the form lacks and does not require a tail for balance. It possesses a long, red mane with ebony highlights that can be confused for a tail in some positions, much like his. The fingers are digits that work much like those on a human being with the exception that their appearance is that of sharp, red claws with high utility and functionality. Overall, his body is covered in varying shades of Black fur. However, perhaps one of the most notable and key markings are on his face: long, thin red markings are located around his eyes and along his cheeks, just around the corners of his mouth. Said mouth is a muzzle full of sharp teeth. In this form he can easily switch between bipedal and quadruped movement, allowing him to easily cover many types of terrain. His usual partial shift keeps him human for the most part, though his lower arms and lower legs shift to Shadetail. The facial markings also appear around his eyes and corners of his mouth. His teeth also get sharper and longer than usual. In this form he can switch between bipedal and quadruped movements as well, though bipedal motion is easier for him to use. Both forms give him increased speed and strength, more so for the full shift than the partial. The dark coloration also gives him a stealth boost at night or in shadows. In any variation of this form his eyes stay their heterochromic coloration. Canine's Gift :: This ability gives Nike enhanced hearing and smell. His sense of hearing is increased to that of the average canine. His sense of smell is boosted by about half the difference between human and canine sense of smell. This often causes him to act a bit like a dog, especially if he needs to track someone down. This ability is constantly active. Eyes of Night :: This ability gives Nike enhanced vision in low level, and near darkness lighting. It gives him the ability to see at night with no moonlight as if it were the middle of the day. This also causes him to have discomfort in daylight. Normally he'll wear a hat or sunglasses to shield his eyes, especially during the middle of the day. Flash bang style weapons will blind him much longer than a normal person, and can cause discomfort even after the blindness wears off. This ability is constantly active. [/style]
