Abnormalities: His entire back has an intricate tattoo of a black demonic skeleton rising out of a gout of eerie blue flames. BACKGROUND Lucian was born during the height of the new pirate era. Gol D Roger's last words had sparked a surge of piracy throughout the seas and the world changed forever. No one knows who his parents were; even his own memories of them are hazy at best. The person who took their place was Cecelia, his twin sister. Though she was only older than him by mere minutes, Cecelia was very much the elder sibling. Throughout their childhood, Cecelia was always looking out for him. It was only because of her that they survived at all; she kept them clothed and fed, found ways to shelter themselves when they slept, even fought off other orphans who picked on them because of their strange appearance. While their parents were a mystery, Lucian knew they weren't ordinary humans. Something dormant slept inside him and his sister, a weak demonic presence that separated them from the other children. Cecelia protected them because she feared what would happen if their emotions ran rampant. Lucian was such a fragile child; Cecelia was sure that the demonic blood that flowed through their veins would consume his soul if he was pushed too far. She swore to never let that happen and dedicated her life to his with Lucian none the wiser. Eventually a kindly old man took them alongside four other orphans and Lucian was part of a family again. It was quaint life, but compared to their old lives, such living was paradise. They survived off the spoils a local band of pirates brought the poor folk every few weeks and, in exchange, their foster father had them run messages for the pirates around the port. It all seemed innocent to Lucian, but the game they became involved in was more dangerous than they could've imagined. The marines in the area were corrupt bastards that took the loot from pirates to line their own pockets on top of the heavy taxes in place for the citizens. That was why Lucian's foster father was helping the pirates to get even. Unbeknownst to the children, the messages they ran all over town were helping spread the word for rebellion and uprising. The pirates promised support and supplies when the time came as long as people gave them safe passage in the future. Such dealings weren't good for the marines, obviously. So when word was brought to them of this, they called in the services of the Cipher Pol to snuff out the rebellion before it started. Lucian was out making a solo run when they struck. An explosion that could be heard throughout the town consumed his house and the loving family that lived inside. He watched the smoke rise thick and ominous but was stopped by one the pirates before he could rush to the scene. Cipher Pol was still prowling the town for participants of the rebellion, so a few pirates took an inconspicuous rowboat and sailed away with Lucian in tow. Aboard one of their main pirate ships, Lucian found out the truth of everything. The marine headquarters wasn't concerned with the details; anyone who sought to harbor pirates in this era were criminals and punished as such. He cried himself delirious for days as the pirates waited for things to calm down. When they were finally able to return to port to measure the damage, Lucian was done crying. He was done being weak. His sister had always been the strong one and protected him all his life. Yet she died while he was left alive and alone. The marines would pay. He buried his family amongst the ashes of their house, the last compassionate act of Lucian's young life, and set out on his path for vengeance. The rest of his years were dedicated to acquiring the power needed to wipe any and all marines from this world; his swordsmanship, induction into piracy, even his descend into cold detachment were all steps he took for this goal. This alone wasn't even to spur his will to live, however. Lucian needed his sister. She was attached to everything that had made him a loving boy. With her gone, Lucian was broken. Her death became his obsession until he swore he would find a way to bring her back. Medical science was an option, but there were always rumors of darker methods. Lucian did not care what he had to do or who had to die for it to happpen; he WOULD bring her back. So now he seeks the fabled One Piece, a vast wealth of treasure that was beyond comprehension. If there was a way to bring Cecelia back, Lucian knew it would start with resources. What better way to accomplish that than by acquiring the fortune of the late pirate king? He can currently create up to two images of himself at a time. The projection lasts for one post and can be to either effectively dodge an attack or confuse a target while Lucian goes on the offensive. Lucian requires a two post cooldown before attempting to use Afterimage again. Demon Spiral - Lucian draws his sword and spins his hand at an unnatural speed, creating a circular wall of steel. This technique is used to block simple projectile attacks(ie. bullets, arrows, rocks, etc.) as an immediate interrupt. Lucian requires a two post cooldown after using Demon Spiral. Demon Step - Lucian pushes his body to its limit, traveling incredibly fast in a short amount of time. This burst of speed can be used to travel a distance of sixty feet in the span of a single second. He can utilize this up to two times in a single post before requiring a two post cooldown. Enhanced Anatomy - Due to the demonic blood flowing through his veins, Lucian is made of stronger stuff than normal humans. He can hit harder, run faster, and endure things other humans wouldn't be able to. Even his cellular regeneration is on a higher level; he can meditate upon his wounds to accelerate the healing process. However, Lucian only has a small amount from generations of human blood watering it down, so his demonic properties are fairly weak compared to a pureblooded demon.
