Quick-witted: For a wolf, Aethrios is rather intelligent, able to hold his ground in conversation and arguments without missing a beat. Well-read: Ironically, despite being a "simple animal", Aethrios has taught himself to read, and is quite well-read at that. However, he still has difficulty turning the pages without tearing them. Insightful: Aethrios's intelligence is not exactly vast or encompassing, but what he does know is surprisingly useful in most any situation. However, most of his knowledge is delivered in the form of a witty quip or sarcastic remark, causing a bit of confusion about the validity. Sharply observant: Because of his heightened senses compared to humans, Aethrios is very observant, and capable of noticing things human couldn't even begin to notice without a Zoan. NEGATIVE TRAITS: Snide: For Aethrios, sarcasm is effectively a personal dialect, as he rarely speaks without adding a cynical observation or a sarcastic remark of some sort. However, for some reason or another, Hakkyou and Luna are excluded from this, as he treats them very kindly. Easily annoyed: Aethrios has a relatively low amount of patience for most people, getting annoyed very easily, and making his annoyance quite known. Overly talkative: Surprisingly, one wouldn't expect a wolf to be much one for chatting, but Aethrios is indeed quite the gabber, quite enjoying the fact that the humans can actually understand him. Easily overcome by stimuli: Due to his much stronger senses compared to humans, Aethrios can quite easily be overpowered by negative stimuli, such as strong smells or high-pitched noises. Fireworks are especially detrimental to his senses, effectively disabling him for about five minutes. Normal explosives usually don't affect his hearing, however. Reads obsessively: Once Aethrios starts reading a book, he pretty much entirely tunes out the outside world, his entire focus going to the book. Over most of his body is a large, flared gakuran coat, accented by bandages wrapped around much of his torso, with a dagger sheath under the coat on his right side, and a sword sheathed across his back. Atop his head rests a fairly simple black cap, and sticking out of the left side of his mouth is his favorite kiseru pipe. Abnormalities: Aside from being an unusual blue color, Aethrios is also missing his forelegs, which have been replaced with mechanical prosthetics, a common occurrence in Macchina di Terrano, and his left eye is damaged, rendering it blind and almost permanently shut, with a large scar across it. Near the end of the blade is a small notch used to catch onto things like armor and weapons, and dislodge them with a quick yank. Wild Daemon's Fang: Aethrios' dagger, also designed by Jack for Aethrios' use. The blade has a wicked curve, designed specifically to cleave through flesh, as well as a curved ridge shaped to rip chunks out. Non-weapons His kiseru, which is almost always seen hanging from his lips. However, because he lacks opposable digits, he can't actually refill and light it himself. A plain chain collar with an extra length of chain hanging from the left, dragging the ground a little. A rather bland-looking, plain steel bangle around his back left leg, which even Jack has no idea where it came from. A mysterious silver spoon hidden in a slot on the inside of his dagger sheath strap, carried for unknown reasons. ABILITIES Heart of a Beast, Mind of a Man: A curious trait Aethrios has, perfectly understanding most any human speech, and a large variety of written word, even moreso than most humans do. RACIAL FEATURES Wild Nature's Release: The natural instincts and skills Aethrios has as a beast of the wilds, composed of his sharp senses, quick reflexes, high stamina and endurance, and remarkable running speed. As well, his survival and hunting instincts function in a manner akin to Kenbunshoku Haki, though on a much, much lower scale. The Guardian's Call: The true feature that makes Aethrios unique, in that, much like Jack, he'd lost limbs in battle, specifically the entirety of both forelimbs. Even more like Jack, his mechanical prosthetics, designed by Luna, are riddled with extra features, including a collar attachment that allows him to speak human languages. However, unlike Jack, Aethrios' limbs are designed with features for more survival and utility use that for combat, such as a small spark-maker in the left heel for starting fires, a propellant system in the paws, which are connected via strong steel cable, to be used as a sort of grappling hook, and fude brush in the right heel. In addition, he does have some rudimentary offensive bonuses in the way of retractable, razor-sharp, hook-shaped claws, as well as tazers built into the paw pads which can be activated at will.
